Lovely bit of kit mate. I remember as a young fella when these came out, they were state of the art. I had the chance to then run an 8670 here in NZ for a while working for a contractor. It had 9000 hours still going strong. Your tractors are certainly well looked after!
Yes, Versatile made these tractors for Ford/New Holland, the 8670, 8770, 8870, and 8970. The 2145, 2160, 2180, and 2210 are the Versatile numbers, and were painted a red color.
Actually it was the 70A bought the blueprints for they're newer tractors also instead of having a Ford engine have a 8.3 Cummins like the Case IH MX magnums

The 2145, 2160, 2180, & 2210 Models were Buhler Versatile, Models after these Numbers went back to the Versatile Only Name. The 8670A, 8770A, 8870A, & 8970A were the Last Models Under The New Holland Name.
Ford designed and built these tractor at fords versatile factory because Ford owned versatile at that time then fiat bought Ford new holland and then later caseih and had to sell off the versatile line.
wow man this is a really nice informative and detailed review, and i agree about the layout, design and build quality, very nice era of tractors. nowadays too many switches and electrics etc. this one is in mint condition. keep it for a long time, take care of it and it will take care of you. I think you might be thinking of Fiatagri tractors that also carried the new Holland badge, they came in a brown / red type colour. wish my boss had New Holland and clean decent equipment like you have. great video, only fault i can find is the lighting, but its ok you had a light and showed us in the engine bay (most people don't) I really like the tractors in the 1990's / 2000's era would love a NH TM190 or G-series Fiat. Ford 7840 was also iconic tractor in its day. one thing i have noticed over in Canada / North America is with the tractors most don't have a lever in the cab that changes the PTO speed from 540 / 1000 and the pickup hitch / drawbar is fixed? most or all European models have a different style drawbar, usually a hook shape that you can raise and lower with the 3 point linkage and it locks in place. a lever in the cab operates the pickup hitch lock for operation mode. the tractors on the farm i work on in Canada they have fixed drawbar and a stupid C-clip that is a pain to change over the PTO shaft from 540 to 1000, total dumb idea when the European models will have one shaft spline design (normally) and a level in the cab.
Haven't ran it yet this year! But got plenty of clips from last year, and the one time I actually baled with it: ua-cam.com/video/dfyVLEjibLk/v-deo.html
I have about one mouth and my farm is going to double in size right now I got about 267 acres and the next one I picked up my neighbors place 10 year lease has 237 acres the other farmers in the neighborhood are very mad at the old timer that rented it to me because they thought they were going to get it
A man who honestly loves his well cared for farming equipment. As long as it does well, keep it. There is no expiration date on dependable implements.

Nice Video 👍👍👍👍
What are the other tractors in the shed?
Is that also the same tractor as a Fiat G240 ?
jacky bruckers no it's the same as a fiat G 210
Yes that's the same exact thing as a Fiat G 210 not G 240 240 would be the 8970
How often do you put the duals on?
During baling we usually take them off for easier maneuvering, and put them back on late summer.
I want to see that baler in action!!

It was $54k
I am running to tw-20 and tw-35 35 in my tractor and 20 is my gram p he is 84 this year I do most the farming and he is the banker
I'd pay 60g Cdn all day long, have two 8770's 7000hrs on them
We have a 8970
I wouldn't trade my 8670 for anything 👍🏻
Wayne Christopher how many hours on yours?
Farming 4G my first one had 16,000 plus when I traded it off still ran perfect. My current one has 8600hrs
That's awesome.
on our farm our 8870 has 33000 hrs the hour meter rolls over at 20000
