Stay - Interstellar (Piano) | 2 years 5 months learning piano | Musihacks

Stay (not to be confused with S.T.A.Y.) may not be one of the most famous tracks from Interstellar, let alone one of the most frequently performed on the piano. The whole point of this video was to play, let myself go, break away from the conventional, and create a different, more experimental video. Instead of focusing on a melodic line, I wanted to build an atmosphere. I aimed to create a wall of sound, as Jaime Altozano explains in his analysis of Interstellar ( • La Música de Interstel... ), by developing the "Cooper's Dilemma Theme." I played around with just three chords: C minor seventh, F major, and F minor, along with their octaves, arpeggiating, using dynamics and the pedal, until reaching the end where all the notes blend together in search of that wall (although it's constructed with just one piano, of course). As a note for improvement, although I felt it at the time of recording, I think the arpeggios before the ending would sound better slightly slower.
I started learning to play the piano approximately 2 years and 5 months ago, starting from absolute zero, all thanks to the courses by musihacks and @JaimeAltozano. A thousand thanks to Jaime because he's an amazing teacher, unparalleled. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to play the piano.
