I totally agree. Taking nothing away from Maidana though because he clearly won but this fight was much more competitive than people try to make it out to be. Although Maidana scored two knockdowns, Broner hurt Maidana several times throughout the fight and even backed him up. This fight was not one sided.

Win or lose for AB, the loss of skill from this fight to the Cobbs fight is insane. You can tell the second he step foot in the ring Vs Cobbs he knew he didn’t have it. He knew he didn’t train properly. And it showed up. Although he lost this fight, the ONLY reason he kept fighting and winning a lot of rounds was because of the shape he was in. He might’ve been cocky/arrogant back then, but he at least trained. Now he shows up with fat rolls, arrogant as ever, and loses to a C+ fighter

Victor Ortiz quit against Maidana because he broke his jaw. Broner got up and brawled with him until the very end and he was a lightweight in this bout. Maidana started to slow down in but due to Broners inconsistencies Maidana was able to capitalize. Broner had the speed advantage and could punch. If he would've threw more punches and moved a little more it couldve been an easier fight.
