The intro is like being in really comfortable vehicle travelling down a road to musical euphoria. You close your eyes and relax, starting to float along in the sound...and then the driver YANKS THE WHEEL TO THE SIDE AND YOUR HEAD SMASHES THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. YOUR EYEBALLS BURST OUT OF THEIR SOCKETS AND DANGLE IN THE WIND AND GLASS SHARDS TEARYOUR FACE APART.

The intro from 0:00 to 1:14 is actually traditional Armenian folk song called "Dle Yaman" performed on duduk, which was transcribed by Komitas.

Absolutely fantastic. Great great great band. It never feels like they are bored with their mastery like so many of these super technical acts.
Nothing as brutal as being ripped from the sheltering sea of dissonant harmonic exctacential bliss between 3:03 and 3:30 only to be thrust head on into a fucking mr. clean commercial.

Well I tend to support the channels I view, but I wasn't literally talking about an ad. I'm saying the beginning of the second song, especially in contrast with the end of the first, sound like a mr. clean commercial

Ondřej Pavelka And Kalisia, their album Cybion is the best Prog Death Album of all time.
I don't know how I've never been reccomended this band before. I've listened to so many progressive death metal bands and so many dream theaterish progressive bands and etc and this somehow never came up. I found this by looking at the related artists tab on WAYD's page of the metal archives.

The first thing that came in my mind is that is sounds like Unexpect but less dissonant and deconstructed.
But this musical difference allows to experience different feelings and emotions. I also like the lyrics.
I thought the same thing, but they’re a little more consistent in tone and sound than Unexpect, and there is a lot more Cynic-esque sounds in there
