  • The DOA shooting bench is a high quality portable shooting bench with a lot going for it! Check out my review to see what I though of it after spending a few weeks using it.

Man, what a difference a couple years makes.....what was $550 in late 2020 is now $760 in mid-2023. It's a really tough time to be retired and on a fixed income. This bench would be perfect for me to use in my property for short range air gun, and [for longer range airgun shooting] in the extensive BLM lands a few blocks from here. But when the bench cost represents around half of your monthly income, just can't can't afford it. Oh well.

Lovely piece of quality gear. It would be nice if a future iteration replace the pins with something that is captured. For the seat, use a ball detent as that pin just seems to be for transport. For the ones on the feet the would be nice if it auto-locks when opened. A spring latch on each leg would do but they are annoying to release. Some tripods have a bar attached to each of the leg and to a collar like the one you use for seat height adjustment with the same type of tension lock. It would add weight though, and you would have lose the adjusted seat height when breaking it down for transport. It would be neat if they could make it ambidextrous (yeah, I know you said below it's available for lefties). Not sure if you could make a slide mechanism that is sufficiently stable. Obviously flipping the table top over would do but that's inconvenient and you end up with holes on both sides if you switch between left/right more than once. Removing the tabletop sounds back-breaking :-( They could use a hinge between the leg and table top instead so you just leave it on. Wheels for transport?

If the table don't swivel with the seat, what difference does a swiveling seat make ?... nice vid.

If you want to switch to a different target, all you have to do is loosen the screw that holds the table and rotate right to it. That's great compared to moving a table full of stuff.

@@eddieb9110 by the time you get done with that the target is long gone, plus one can't shoot with all the stuff on the table in your way ? You got to clear some space !

@@jamesdenny4734 I haven't ever had a steel plate run away on me. I do see people using these for prairie dogs though.

    Good review.
    Additionally.
    3 legs never, ever wobble.
And if you ever need to make level. Or close to level. You only need to prop one leg.
    From northern Alberta.
    Love your vids

Can anyone tell me the best place to buy one of these benches? I can only find them from the manufacturer for about $700.

I went through the manufacturer but, I first spotted them on the Accu-Tac website. I don’t think he mass produces them, which is probably one reason for the cost. The materials and quality of build are probably the main reasons. I use mine almost daily from my covered deck.

Very nice table but for 500.00 bucks it should be.
