Good review. You put that together better than I did my kettle grill. I liked that you suggested using the back of the four wheeler to assemble it and that you demonstrated the cleaning forks that go in the holes in the table's top that function as handles. Also, thanx for mentioning the bag for carrying it disassembled in the description section.
Thanks Squib! I think I'm going to buy the bag. I only carry it over to the Saloon for storage right now but putting it in the bag would make it a lot easier to move.
I just bought one, it is easy-peasy, 20 minutes to assemble, after which it takes only a few minutes to break down or set up. If you look at the DOJ official shooting rest, it's clearly the same structural elements the only difference I see is that DOJ uses a larger table-top, but is clearly the same bench. It provides a very rigid surface to shoot from, all you need is a rear shooting bag.
It's pretty much weather proof, I don't know how the plastic will hold up to the sun, it can be brutal. The nice thing is that it's pretty easy to tear down and put away. Thanks for watching Hillbilly!
You're a brave man Richard for assembling any in the grass! I had one sent to me a couple of weeks ago, but................................... Caldwell didn't send it to me.😊 JimE
Hey Richard this would be perfect for me. I'm disabled due to wounds suffered in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now I have a neurological disorder called cervical dystonia which locks my neck. It's incredibly painful . But I push through. I can still shoot just not prone. I especially like the pegs which can hold a rifle for quick repairs. I have some Caldwell rifle rests which helps a great deal but this is a home run. Where did you get yours or where .can I get one. Please let me know thanks for the video
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview Thanks Richard it saw them .I ordered the smaller version. The last time I went to the range I brought 5 or 6 long guns. I wanted to function check and sighted in a scope. It kicked my ass. Back and forth. With this I can back up to my station and set it up shoot and switch. This will help a good deal. Thank you !!! PS. Don't order from E BAY. My info get hacked twice I two months. I got it resolved but they know my name address and other info the hassle is now with is done.. As soon as the card is refunded I wa will cancel my account..
If you're talking about the danger of it tipping, it's already in there. There's a tradeoff between a tripod and four legs. The tripod is easier to level but 4 legs are more stable. Thanks for watching!
The seat is set right in the middle hole, there are 3 holes above and 3 below. The height of the table is 37 inches from the floor/ground. I am 6' tall-ish. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Great review, I really like the table, it would work out perfect for the range I usually go to at my buddy's property. Although little on the pricey side at $260 bucks. I was hoping it would have been no more than around $150.00 range.
They do have sales on them from time to time. The table has a nice sturdy feel and has a lot of adjustment to it too. Caldwell does make some other ones that are a little less expensive but I have not tried them out. Thanks for watching!
Answered everything I was wondering about! Clanging of the steel relieved any doubt about sturdiness. Thanks!
Glad I could help!

I like mine. It's very easy to take out to my 200yd range. Thanks for watching!
Looks like weather wont bother it. My table has a padded top and seat that I know the rain would destroy. Nice table for sure.

I put some links in the description that will take you to Caldwell's website. There are several different benches there. Thanks for watching!

Just trying to see how it might fit me. Are you on the lowest seat setting? How tall are you? Table height? Thanks
