When I first heard this song as a wee child and I never understood why I related to it. Damn near 15 years later, I still relate to it. I didn't feel included and seen then, I don't feel it now and the love I have to give is quickly draining away

Many years ago this song used to be me word per word but my problem was with me is that I didn't wanna let anyone in and I didn't know if I'd ever find the right person so I pretended to be someone I wasnt thought it might be some way to escape it all but thiers no running from your emotions you gotta be a man and face it meet friends and people who will help you pull through thats what i did and It a few years ago and it that person help me heal the scars on my heart

3. That screws up custody court
4. Car breaks down
5. Mother can't get job and has no transportation
6. Bills aren't paid, Everything in our home gets shut off
7. Child has broken arm and Mother can't pay for doctor
8. Dog dies of starvation
9. Child and Mother bum rides and money
from family
10. Both are sick and biological father calls and pretty much says "I got a fucking brain tumor"
11. Grandmother, who the Duo have been living with gets Uterine Cancer
12. Mother gets FTA cause she has no ride to court
13. In the hole at the bank
14. Child becomes emotionless, and believes everything is fucked from now on
15. Mother suffers from severe depression 16. Child can't walk from BFE to school, 45 minute drive to the school
17. Mother and Child both in hiding from the world, and the cops
18. Step-dad is out of jail and has no one to pick him up from jail.
19. Mother and child have left the state of Tennessee and bummed rides all the way to Iowa
20. Step-dad returns home to empty house, never to see his wife and child again.
21. Child wonders why everything is fucked, he spends 3 weeks in Juvenile Detention over assault
