"Independence Anniversary" - Solomon Islands Independence Song [+Lyrics]

This relaxed song was written by artist & musician Charles Sikihi Manata after the Solomon Islands were granted independence from the United Kingdom in 1978. It was recorded at the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation's studio in Honiara. I am slightly unsure about the title; it may also be "Independence Year" or "Independence Song". I transcribed the lyrics myself, so I apologize if there are any mistakes.
The video footage displayed shows celebrations leading up to the independence ceremony on July 7, 1978. Images of the Solomon Islands in the 1970s courtesy of Brian Taylor.
