Gilda should have been mentioned in the Hitchcock section as part of the classic movies. If you want to know why Rita Hayworth was such a huge star back then, her entrance in the movie will tell you. Dang that head shake!!!
Thanks sooo... much for all the new Prime release info. Glad to hear you mention how horrible frustrating user interface. Impossible to find any info on recently added content. One would think they'd have a category "Recently Added".
So Amazon Prime has decided it rather be a classic movie channel like AMC or TMC than a premier entertainment service. 11 minutes in, and nothing but old films that most people have seen. But the first new offering is an Anne Hatheway film; seriously? An actress you either are a big fan of, or more likely an actress you flat out cannot stomach. That's the best they can put forth? Then half of the new films aren't even all that new. As for the new interface of Prime, have to agree, it really sucks now. Why they felt the need to change an easy to navigate interface into one that is all but impossible to navigate is anyone's guess. But I suspect they did so to hide the fact that they would rather compete against AMC than the new content streaming services. Easier and cheaper if they no longer have to make their own content anymore, they just don't want the subscribers to know it.
Older films are usually far better than the modern trash that Hollywood puts out these days. I'm super happy to see all of these older films coming to Prime!
Pulling the plug on Prime, Netflix, Disney. Tired of being ripped off for more money, forced ads, for service packed with foreign shows I don't watch and don't care to chase subtitles. Thanks Darren...you mentioned/listed some older classics & cult films that I'd like to check out again, but most of the newer ones I've seen once and that was enough...however, I'm still not happy about Prime suddenly adding ad breaks to all their content recently; that is unless you're willing to cough up an additional $2.99 a month!

My recommendation: If you watch AI do not forget to turn it off when you see the Blue Fairy and it fades to black. It's over right there. Do yourself a favor and shut it off. Everything beyond that point is drivel.
Certainly not one of Spielberg's best efforts. It was his attempt to recapture the magic of ET, without actually making a sequel. And given the new reality of AI actually emerging into our modern world, a film where one no longer sees the child robot in the same light as they did when they first were exposed to this film. Instead, you are more likely to sympathize with the AI ravagers that destroy the droids for sport than you are to sympathize with the child droid David. It's ending in today's world is almost as infuriating as the latest take on AI, "The Creator". A film I so wanted to like going into in the theater, but left absolutely furious leaving. Hollywood would have you think that evolution seeks perfection not by making us a better, more empathetic, more environmentally concerned, more evolved life-form; but by replacing us with mechanical simulations. As such, why wouldn't we have greater sympathy for something that an engineer designed to look, act, and pretend to be us; than we do for the actual living human beings such technology is designed to replace? That's not Utopia, it is extinction. I'll take Herbert's vision of the future any day, one devoid of thinking machines that compete for dominance.

Die Hart..2.... sorry,, i like Kevin, i do.. but, this movie/tv show/wannabe SNL Sketch, just fails... like.. everywhere it can.. it has some low rent humor sprinkled in it.. but,, no, Kevin shoulda backed away from this paycheck.. it lowers his entire street value as a stand up comic.. Open Range is pretty freaking awesome.. and you need to pay attention.. i probably need to re watch it as its rather interwoven into itself and not a simple " follow the bread crumbs" kind of show..
This is the best UA-cam channel in this genre, a breathless run-down of what's new, what's good, and why its worth watching. He respects our time. He knows we're here to learn about available movies in a hurry, and he doesn't distract us by trying to be funny, and he obviously rehearses each episode enough so that there are no umms and ahhs that might make us get fidgety and start lookin' for that Next butten. His effort is very appreciated, and I always come away from each episode quite informed.
@@davidgilbert8614 exactly! Great way to put it. I didn’t know how to describe it. Another thing I hate is that you see a lot of recommendations on your feed for things you’ve never even watched before or hardly ever watch. All these cartoon and animated shows pop up when I don’t watch them. And you can’t modify anything. And also all the categories/genres have a ton of movies and shows that you have to pay for. I didn’t get why they show them there. If I wanna buy something I’ll look for it. But I guess if I wanna watch something for free I still have to search for it lol.

i already cut off Hulu and Netflix, this might be next, and just watch the commercials on free channels, since PAID CHANNELS are making me watch the damn things as it is..
95% of these videos are based on what a 15-year-old boy would watch, so, I don’t watch these videos anymore. So, you can stop making them.
Tell me about it, 15 year old boys won't shut up about how good The Big Chill and The Deer Hunter are.
So not missing anything since I cancelled, still more garbage not worth the price hike of £3 for ad free version a 68% increase is just greed
Panic Room best home invasion movie ever???? Please... Home Alone?
Aliens
Please stop reviewing PAY movies or I'll unsubscribe
Any good movie on Prime is buy/rent. Horrible platform
did you notice they added forced ADS!??????
You think Deer Hunter is too slow. The issue is you. This and other views confirms the issue is your taste level.
No, Deer Hunter is too slow.
I wish your shirt fit someone of a larger bent. I wear 6XL and none of yours will fit
A.I. Artificial Intelligence is a truly horrible movie on so many levels.
Prime had ads now, I'll pirate all their stuff... Arrrrr
Have Prime for deliveries and Pirate Prime to dodge the ADs.
um . . . A friend of mine does that.
Dude this review was mailed in your moving to fast if you keep this is up I'll have to unfollow
Gattica was trash
This video is sadly disappointing all old stuff nothing worth watching again and he should know that 👎👎
This is the best UA-cam channel in this genre, a breathless run-down of what's new, what's good, and why its worth watching.
I hate prime videos user interface. Horrible.
I believe that the hate is universal. They went from a category driven user interface to one that is a scavenger hunt.
