- In today's video I make my way to SeaWorld Orlando to ride my favorite coasters inside of this park. However, between the poor customer service and operations only running one train at a time my fun day quickly took a turn in the wrong direction. Thank you so much for watching, if you enjoyed this video please give it a big thumbs up!

Visited back in September and we loved all of the new coasters. Customer service was on the meh side, but had more of an issue with the time share people harassing us.
I worked for SeaWorld very briefly before COVID, and it was by far the worst place I’ve ever worked. And I’m saying that as someone who liked going to the park and had an annual pass. It was actually amazing to see just how much of a lack of leadership and communication there was. Training was very minimal, supervisors were never around, and nobody felt valued or heard in any way, leading to most of my co-workers just not caring at all. The pay was also extremely low compared to Disney/Universal. I had worked for Universal the year before which was actually my favorite job I’ve ever had lol. The difference in how employees are treated is seriously night and day.
Just return to Universal, bro! You can still visit SeaWorld!
Confirms my experience as a customer the one time I visited.
Same I used to work at BG & everything you’re saying is true. They don’t seem to operate their parks in excellence.
Identical experience I had working for BG Tampa. Same company so no surprise. They were only paying $10 per hr in 2021. No overtime pay. No holiday pay. No benefits.
When I went to SeaWorld I felt how unhappy the staff were. The team morale is LOW...you can see it immediately in comparison to other theme parks. If they don't invest in their staff, the staff won't invest in them. Customers will receive the bare minimum.
Thank you, Dev! You keep us all current on how ALL the parks are doing. ❤
Gotta love a NY based hedge fund making the decisions at Seaworld and Busch Gardens. You can definitely tell they are squeezing every nickel they can out of their parks 🤬
It’s my mine and my daughter’s favorite park but I myself see the operational side needs some organization help. I absolutely love this park and it’s the Park I’m taking my brother and his family in a few weeks to SW… they’re pretty excited! Hope all the coasters are running. 💙
Like always great job Dev always keeping it real with us. it’s their first time visiting Florida!! Also taking them to the Daytona 500!! Absolutely can’t wait for that! 🏁
I agree 100% about the service! I spoke with you in the coffee shop at Stella Nova! Sea World has slowly declined in operational value. Hopefully they can turn this around before it gets too bad and lose so many pass holders! See you soon!
You have said it for a while that SeaWorld is just so disorganized and has no order at all. It’s a shame because it has amazing roller coasters and other attractions.
They don’t pay their employees well, so I would expect the customer service to be poor
Final nail in the coffin for me at Seaworld/Busch Gardens after recent visits. Both so badly run. Great rides, but the service is so poor. Tripadvisor scores are abysmal recently for both. Such a shame as Busch Gardens was previously my favourite.
@ it’s only like that because seaworld:Busch gardens aren’t paying their employees they started cutting back on people who are full time and changed how much they get paid and they started letting people go, I love by the Busch Gardens Williamsburg and the employees were talking about how everyone that was currently working there was gonna get a pay drop and less hours even tho they are full time and that they started letting people go that late why it was less employees working and being spread thin through a whole park, so I’m not surprised the customer service etc would go down, people have bills and responsibilities they don’t have the luxury of picking up a camera and going to different amusements parks and vacation spots as their job/source of income
I’m glad its not just me. A lifetime of amusement park going, and I have NEVER encountered such horrible customer service. No one seems to know what is going on or where to go, if they don’t know. Like you Dev, I agree. If you need a coaster fix, this is the park to go to in central Florida. Debating renewal of my platinum pass as well….its super reasonable, but the customer service just ruins the good vibes.
I hate those dang kiosks!!! They never work and they are slow!! But the AP Rewards are amazing!
Didn’t know you were bigger in the past, just started following you. Gotta start watching your old videos.
We went to Seaworld a couple of months ago. We did the dine with Shamu and also ate inside the shark restaurant. The atmosphere and experience was amazing but the food was gross. We asked 3 different stores for a map and everyone just kept sending us back and forth just like they did to you. I will say besides the gift shops everywhere else the staff was really friendly and helpful. Our server let us into the room where they filmed Jaws which was so cool and at the end of the day we were stopped and given free tickets to come back because some of their coasters were down due to weather. We’re pass holders at Disney and Universal and they would NEVER lol I was so impressed I almost bought Seaworld passes lol
Hi Dev! Yes, customer service at SeaWorld Orlando has declined tremendously since I was a kid and especially in recent years. I was born and raised in South Florida so, let’s just say, I have visited theme parks A LOT. Rides are constantly down, ride lines are a free for all when they need to be better managed especially for Quick Queue payers. If rides are running, they are only running at half capacity. I don’t think the food is good, it’s just OK. We spend several thousand dollars each year just between BS - Tampa Bay and SW - Orlando. When I call customer service, I’m told they can’t assist me with anything at the park; I had a specific incident immediately following a hurricane. If they don’t get their act together, we won’t continue to spend our money there. I love your honest videos. Best of luck to you in all you do.
You can also purchase quick queue through the app or online same day. I usually buy right on my app when I’m in park.
We haven't been to SeaWorld in quite some time, but SeaWorld's Discovery Cove's customer service is outstanding.
It’s one of the most immersive parks in all of Orlando. I love Discovery Cove and recommend everyone to at least go once. So private, bang for your buck, and doesn’t seem like a money trap. Worth every penny.
I grew up going to SeaWorld. It’s become very run down and poorly maintained since I was a kid. The fairly new paint at Pipeline is already peeling off and you have to fight with the crowd to get in the coaster rows because they don’t staff an employee to do it.
I’m a pass holder for Sea World and the perks are amazing. You get free tickets and then they give you bonus tickets for admission, and the discounts are great! I try to alternate Sea World and Busch Gardens every month so I’m using it. But I agree the customer service is lacking, on the weekends there’s more staff but a lot more people so it feels short staffed anytime you go.
I went to Disney for years since my dad worked there but taking a break from it and to be honest no other parks give perks like Sea World and Busch Gardens. Universal has a lot but I know when Epic opens it’s gonna be crazy so I’m going to keep Sea World and Busch Gardens for a bit until it slows down. I really hope they make some improvements!
That’s why Seaworld and its parks will never be on the level of service as Disney and Universal
They might not come up to Disney, but I could see Disney coming down to their level...
Love your videos, total honesty, keep it up, well done on weight loss.
It is not only Seaworld. We are feeling it at Busch gardens Williamsburg as well. Park ops needs a major overhaul. One train ops is UNACCEPTABLE! I’m sorry you feel the frustration.
That’s cause the company isn’t paying their workers and are stretching the people they have thin hence why some coasters are closed for most of the day there is not enough people to operate the rides
@ I know, my husband and son both work for BGW. it’s bad!
Me and my GF are regular visitors to Orlando from the UK and Seaworld was always a must do park for us. Until 2 years ago we visited and we did not enjoy it at all. The prices were ridiculous the staff members attitude toward guests was appalling looked like they would rather be somewhere else. It’s a real shame as despite the bad press regarding the killer whale shows we believe Seaworld do a lot of good regarding animals. However we won’t spend money where we won’t get a good and welcoming experience. Great Video PC Dev regards from the UK
Experienced the same issues at Busch Gardens Williamsburg
We tried asking staff basic questions and we quickly learned that we are better off not asking them anything. They weren’t friendly at all and looked confused when we were asking them a question, as if they didn’t work there at all lol. When we’re at Busch gardens we’re on our own.
I go purely for the coasters and sometimes the festival food has a few good items. But the rest could use improvement. I had the same problem with finding places that sold quick queue. the self service kiosks do sell one time quick queues for specific rides. The photo stand by kraken sells the general quick queue for the day
We were there last week, only one roller coaster was working. The staff wasn’t helpful at all at updates. We will not be going back
We were looking at coming this year on our trip but got bit worried after this vlog
But tbh respect your honesty
My husband is in a wheelchair but we unsure how many of the rides he can do
We had passes, but I didn’t renew this month. I don’t go enough.
Once Epic Universe opens this park is in trouble...
🎯🎯🎯
No doubt
I used to work at seaworld from 2016-2019. I went to the park 5 years after I quit, huge difference. I remember customer service was a lot better and leadership was always emphasizing how important customer services was, I was part of leadership for a while too, and we always tried to meet and accommodate every guests needs, also worked at Discovery Cove during summers also great customer service. I have no clue what happened.
That’s a bummer to hear! We’re going for the first time Monday.
So happy seaworld is having Mardi Gras & the food festival when I go down the 1st week of March I also enjoyed your discovery cove video I’m going there as well
Every time I visit (summer), Manta and Pipeline always have long wait times with one train operating, and Kraken almost always has mechanical issues. Mako usually has the fastest wait times.
I was at seaworld Orlando just a couple weeks ago and didn’t run into any of the problems you did, Dev. My friend even got some boba tea (he really didn’t like it tho, the boba tasted gross to him, like it was sitting out for too long). I also had to go to guest services and even tho I waited in line for about 15 mins, it was good service. The ride lines were long for most of the coasters but we still had a great time. Sorry you didn’t have that great of an experience this time.
When I was there back in the 80's they only had one coaster. Wow.
My wife and I enjoy SeaWorld, but were very disappointed at the loss of Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin ride. That was our favorite ride. I don’t know much about customer service there, but your experience in this video is crazy! How does it compare to Busch Gardens, which is owned by SeaWorld? Maybe next time, do a video at Busch Gardens Tampa and see how the customer service is over there.
Your right great coasters very poor customer service also remember most of the staff is run by young people that don’t care and also are under paid the one train for some of the coasters is not surprising hopefully one day they wake up and clean up there act, also the app is really bad the wait times don’t match with the real time
I wanted to come to Sea World when i visit next month, after watching your video I am not getting a good feeling. I wanted to buy a quick queue and ride all of the roller coasters
Not surprised I used to work at BG and it was so unorganized & chaotic. They seem to operate without excellence and cut corners
I love Busch Gardens, I love Seaworld but when they do that one train operation on some of my favorite rides that something that pisses me off.
"I don't understand it. We reduced the coasters to one car to inflate the waits, but still no one is buying QQ!" 😂
Last spring break my family and I walked into SeaWorld and left with in minutes due to rides being broke and horrible customer service right from the parking gate and the ticket gates it’s very sad what this park has become
I've never had a problem buying fast pass but I had an issue during the Christmas event getting a hot cocoa at the stand and took 1 hr with 3 ppl in front of me
Can you not buy the quick que on the app??
I was at Busch Gardens Tampa in June and I had a similar experience there too. There were a few issues during the day that I was unaware of (ride closures, electricity problems) and I went to one of the refill kiosks to find that there was no ice in any of the machines. I asked about the ice and what the issue was, and the lady went “I don’t know!” and just laughed at me 😂 Not sure what that was about
Looking forward to seeing ZZ Top there in March
Wow what’s happening they don’t know how to use the boba machine then why they working at that booth Seaworld is going down sad Thanks for the video Dev ❤❤
They also pay terribly and let threatening guests stay in the parks even when employees specifically tell security that they need to be kicked out (personal experience)
Just curious, but why didn't you just buy the quick queue using your phone and the code will be on your phone. I've done it several times while at the park. Also, during off season, Sea world ALWAYS operates one train during week days. They use that time for train maintenance and if the day gets extremely busy unexpectedly, they'll throw another train on. They have stated running two trains when they aren't full or empty trains adds more wear to the track and trains. I always go Sunday afternoons and stay until close and never have issues. Crowds start leaving around 5pm and most rides are walk ons and two train operations on weekends.
I mean ever since blackstone bought them. It’s been down hill from here
I agree, love the park but unfortunately it is let down by the operations
Why didn’t you buy the quick queue through the app? So much easier than going round in circles at the stores.
I went yesterday and saw the employees looked very unhappy. We had fun anyway!
customer service there is horrible. Last time I went was when Ice breaker was brand new. I bought the unlimited quick queue and paid extra for the one time skip the line for Ice Breaker. Problem is Ice Breaker was down all day. I went to customer service to see if I could get a partial refund or something since I couldn't ride Ice Breaker even though I paid extra. I was told they couldn't help me. Haven't been back and I'm in no rush to go back.
Awful customer service!!!
Looks like they have a staffing issue . Sea World trying to save money .
If you pay the minimum, you get the minimum.
These parks used to be great when Anheuser Busch ran them. I just don't like their vibe anymore, maybe it's just me but I feel an uncomfortable unhappy vibe when I'm there. Or maybe I'm just missing the free beer haha. Sea World was my favorite park in Orlando, especially during Christmas, but not anymore.
I can completely agree with all your comments about SeaWorld management and organizational structure. its company wide and not just isolated to Florida. Here in San Diego, where I cover the San Diego park extensively, the same troubles you experience are even more so here. Hiring standards are very low, management is non existent, and anyone who is good and worth their weight in salt here move at the earliest chance possible. Everything is nickel and dime including the 5% surcharge which i absolutely hate!!! Its usually a lack of communication where the top decides something, but doesn't train or tell middle management, which then doesn't tell the front line workers. SeaWorld continues to be the bottom bar when it comes to the theme park world and honestly I do not see nay hope in sight. Thank you for helping to use your platform to help management hopefully see their faults and try to reverse course and make SeaWorld better. I truly love and want to support the company but they certainly make it hard to do so!
I used to love to go
I am no longer a passholder
Unfortunately even Busch Gardens Williamsburg has gotten terrible as well. We live 15 minutes away and let our passes expire because how bad and expensive it has become. We did get season passes for Dollywood and Hershey though and they are worth the drive compared to Busch!
I love all the roller coasters 🎢 at sea world
I love SeaWorld so much
I enjoy seaworld. Great perks, free tickets, great roller coasters, very family oriented park. The leadership and staff has been very piss poor for some time actually. Staff have no integrity. They push you off to the next and it gets frustrating; I def have had a similar experience.😢
But over all i still love seaworld.
The one train thing def is a bummer!!! When that happens I just vibe around the park. I rather keep moving
Good job on the weight loss! 💪
i havent been to sea world in 20years looks like i need to go back. sorry about your bad customer service
We only go for rides now 😂
They just cant get the help.... when a company doesn't offer any benefits no one will want the job!! Not saying Sea World is one .. just saying if businesses dont offer an incentive no one is going to apply...
When I worked there in 2021 they were paying $7 less an hour than Disney and did not offer OT pay, PTO, holiday pay, or any benefits whatsoever. They also use a point system so missing only 2 days of work because your car broke down or you are sick can land you with a termination.
That sucks that the service is much to be desired, but I still want to go to Seaworld Orlando one day to, mostly to visit the orcas and ride the rides.
We went in November and penguin trek was closed. Atlantis and the coaster next to it was closed until the a certain time. We had unlimited quick queue and most of the rides weren’t worth it bc we had to wait longer than the people that were in the regular line.
And No offense but when I went the people who worked there were special. And I’m talking a lot of them. Glad they give them a chance but sometimes it hurts SeaWorld.
They gotta do better.
I have an AP to SeaWorld mostly for my kids. I've just learned to lower my expectations regarding service there.
You could've purchased quick que on the app or with the ticket machine out front
how is the marine life portion of this park?
Abused, neglected, miserable. Same as it always has been.
The funny thing is when you could not buy a quick queue at the store that you walked by three signs that said buy quick queue here.
I have only been to Sea World twice. The first time was way back in the 80s. hardly nothing there. I really don't think there were any rides there, just shows and exhibits. The second time was in the early 2000s. The only coaster there at that time was Krakken and the Atlantis ride. We haven't been back to Sea World. Honestly not sure if we will ever go back there.
Yeah, a park called Sea World that only has shows and exhibits about aquatic animals. SHOCKING!
Glad to see another great amazing vedio dev, keep up the amazing work
Hi Dev thanks for sharing SeaWorld 🐬🦈🙌🏾❤️🩹
Should have gone to the pass member lounge for help by infinity falls
Hi Dev. My family and I went to Sea World for the first time on January 4th of this year, to tell you the exact day and as it was in this video it was the day I went, the only thing I liked was the food and the entrance to see the penguins. Of the rest I didn't like at all the machines were broken and the ones that were in use had 1 to 2 hours to get on, it embarrasses me to say it but I really will never spend money to go to that park again.☹
they give you so much for free because they need to do something to retain passholders…they know where they stand and how poor their experiences are viewed, it’s sad because it has so much potential and stuck with a 6Flags experience
They did go down-hill. I have a Platinum pass and they took away some benefits. The food is way over-priced and it sucks! The only reason I still go is because it's a lot cheaper than Universal!
I buy my quick que online while I'm at the park! You get a scan code and your done !
One train ops is diabolical
For some reason seems like seaworld is the only park in Orlando that has issues like this so often.
I have been many times and last year I wanted to ride the new Pipeline, therefor I went to the park just for that, paid 100 some dollars for a ticket and it did not run the entire day, quickly found out after there were no refunds lol... needless to say I was disappointed because it was the only day out of my vacation I could go (still had a great day riding the other coasters).
Universal and Disney rarely have attractions that never open during a day
This might sound crazy but I feel like Universal Studios or Disney need to buyout Seaworld & take over this park. The attendance is in constant decline, the park operations are a mess as you see in this video, there always understaffed, & many people are still against it because of how they treat the animals. It’s time to close its doors & let another company takeover.
I worked at SeaWorld as a 3rd party contractor within the park for over a year. I tell everyone how SeaWorld is a subpar, low quality park. I have many stories I could tell you about the lack of upkeep and care around the park. It all starts with how the employees are treated, they're completely disposable. Plus, a lot of the guests that attend SeaWorld treat the employees terribly, as well. Unless you're purchasing a ticket for an extremely low price, I wouldn't even make it a part of your vacation.
I use the app to make additional purchases so I don’t need to wait in lines or depend on staff. I love SeaWorld and will continue to use the app so I don’t have a bad experience
Shouldn't have to avoid the park's staff altogether to ensure you have a good visit. Shame on SeaWorld!
I didnt know popcorn and food?
the Anhiser bush era was the best. once that was over it's been a spiral. they need to change the leadership. I only good for the food christmas shows and spook other then that I'll be at universal
A surcharge is so dumb and dishonest. Just raise the actual price.
I’m sorry that park is trash. The rides are the best but we had really bad time. We’ve had a few things stolen from us every time we go something goes missing 😂
I think the customer service at my local Walmart is better. And I refuse to step foot into Walmart. We have been SeaWorld Passholders for over 20 years. It also allows entry into Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. The ONLY reason we keep it is because we are still paying 2002 prices, and if we go once a year, it pays for itself. However, Customer Service at all 3 parks is sub-par, at best.
I always skip Seaworld because it's had some bad rep from other vlogers.
Back when they reopened after the pandemic I became a passholder. Their customer service has sucked since then. Every visit I've had in the off and on last 4 years has been a mix of OMG that was awesome and OMG I @%$#$$%# hate this place!!! The animals are the best thing there. The humans in guest facing areas (trainers not included) have been some of the worse I've encountered. I have a video cussing out a staff member at the dolphin show for allowing guests to stand and block the view of the handicap area. When I went to Guest services about it I get the scripted BS. I love those animals so much, but I'm tired of the humans.
Actually, if you loved them you wouldn't go. It's always had the WORSE rep for how they treat thier animals. They've lost more dolphins and whales to captivity than any other marine park.
I like sea world but customer service needs improvement but it better now than during pandemic. I know it never be same high quality as Disney or universal.
Obviously Seaworld needs to up their staffing and salaries……🙏🏽❤️
The 1st and last time I visited SeaWorld was in 2022. They ran out of ice in the middle of summer. Not just one stand or restaurant or food serve location. The WHOLE park could not make ice. You had to get an over priced can of something from a fridge wherever they are. and they did not tell you they were out of ice until you made your drink order, so you got warm soda or lemonade. Then, the server workers had attitude or were no eye contact and slow. Wanted dinner, so decided to go to a quick serve restaurant, finding they were closing in 5 min ( at 6:55 PM) and then you got over cooked hamburger patties under a lamp, and cold fries, all over priced. Rides running one train, so lines lasting hours, places walled off, or closed, annoying ambience dubstep coming from speakers on the paths. This place is a joke. Lucky my family got in free that day.
All I wanna know is how you fade your beard like that
One train ops should be against the law in Orlando. Also stacking two trains should be a fine.
So frustrating!
Half the coasters down, Only one coaster, guest services ineffective! Who wants to go through that in the florida. heat??
We live in Tampa and refuse to go to Busch Gardens. It’s so run down…not much for 4 year olds…Sesame Street area is so run down…we just prefer Disney. It’s very disappointing since BG is 25 minutes away from us.
Hi Dev, been reading the comments and you don’t seem to be alone. There are a lot of unhappy customers out there and Sea World or take note otherwise people will stop visiting the park if the service level like this continues.
Love your content, but please cut your hair it looked better short. Cheers Dave & Sue from the UK
I haven't been to SeaWorld since September and that's because we were going through a nasty divorce but thank God that didn't happen and my husband is back with me however we thought of renewing our pass but we figured it's not worth it anymore.
SeaWorld and Busch Gardens customer service is trash.
Seaworld (the entire chain) has the worst customer service (aside from a VIP experience) of any chain without question. Their hidden 5% mark-up/ fee for no reason on everything they sell (unless you call the fine print not hidden, check your receipt and you'll see) speaks for itself. If you could just get rid of the customer service, it would be a great. BGT, BGW, SWO are all this way. I wouldn't think the others would be different.
