This was before boutique pedals. He was using the typical boss stuff. Totally improvised too. He was a punk rock and noise guitarist back then. True original. Each sound is still unlike anyone else.
It´s the Coltrane album i love most!!! Deserve this beautiful homage
Just found out about this cover album and I am glad it exists. Hearing the original one plenty of times goes to show the love John Coltrane had for music. This album is no different. It is a nice interpretation!
3:56 that "screaming" Guitar
Amazing ! Thanks !!
OMG!!Brutal
A rendition to recognize. Great work
Great find!
never heard this before but I like it.
still love it!!
Rad sounds!
I'm hearing Ruins, WWWIII, Upsilon Acrux, Boredoms, Shellac, but funny thing is I don't know Coltrane. now i'm going to hear coltrane with this in my head
You should start at this Coltrane/Rashied Ali album (this video/album is a tribute to it) and work your way backwards. THere's some really intense stuff waiting for you.
@@johnnyprovo7157 Thanks! always appreciate recommendations
clum you're a bit prophetic here, today
@@douglasirvine6565 lol ok? if you say so! idk what future I predicted.. but I welcome any song/ablum/artist suggestions! Best wishes :)
@@douglasirvine6565 ohhhh perhaps you're referring the band I mentioned called "WWIII" -- they were a very cacophonic and loud, aggressive instrumental group - very rapid changes and harsh textures. It was a collaboration band.. and short lived. But very curious
Rad versionz
Sounds like hendrix trying an imitatation of john mclaughlin on 'love divine or emerald gates supreme? 1973 album with Carlos santana john mclaughlin dressed white suits. It's fusion same as this. This is newer version of that fried petrified fusion splatter.
Crosseyed
No offense, my man, but you are using John Coltrane‘s name in vain… Clickbait they call it these days.
It works when Coltrane did it. Here, not so much.
