taper is ok for some watches but my feeling of the non-tapering bracelet is that it looks extra robust and like a cuff. My SMP300 doesnt taper and I think it looks like a very sturdy watch unlike some bracelets that go down from 20mm to 16mm.
Hi, Each to their own but most people seem to prefer taper. The SMP300 is unusual as people never seem to mention or criticise its 100% parallel bracelet (or other things that other watches are told off for). Grand Seiko get told off for having no taper even though they actually do!
@@wristopia4101 lots of bracelets have some taper looking a bit more elegant. but no-taper/parallel bracelets are more rugged looking if thats your preference... The SMP300 bracelet has movie cred (bond) unlike the GS so maybe thats the difference
Strangely, my Tissot (silver dial) is on an artem strap at the moment. I love the looks but the outer layer cracked from tucking into the strap keeper.
@ it feels like a really good quality product, looks good and it’s comfy. Good stitching and a solid buckle, but given the crack from bending into the keeper, and not long after I bought it, I’d struggle to recommend. Especially as there are cheaper options (though I can’t compare from first hand experience). Maybe I should have made use of the warranty and sent it back, but I didn’t think of that until too late!
@@benh715 I have delved into aftermarket straps a little and found it a minefield. I would stick to OEM where possible. They usually come in S/M/L sizes too. Did you have to pay any import charges on top of paying Artem?

How do you feel about Artem straps after owning one?
Are you in UK? If so was there any extra fees to pay for importing it?
