Shawn, thank you so much for your videos. I have never been able to create anything 'artsy' in my life (I just turned 63) but always longed to. I do not remember how I came across your videos a few months ago but I'm forever grateful that I did. :0) I have become very enthused with mixed media as a way of expressing myself, do to the encouragement you give in your videos. I get very excited for Sundays to come, 1. for church, 2. for Shawn Petite new video and inspiration talk! I have also been eagerly following the new journal series 2 days a week and been inspired to craft along with you. I pray for the continued health and welling being of you and your family. Do not wear yourself out, but I know that I am not alone when I say keep the goodness coming! Love and Prayers from Minnesota.

Absolutely beautiful and inspiring, Shawn! Love, love, love it! Haven't used gouache in ages but then only on paper into which it would absorb. I believe the gesso was key to be able to lift it the way you did and I really enjoyed learning this technique from you! Magnificent!!! Now I am going to go get lost in my art. Sending hugs...
It does make a difference on a non porous surface!

Oh, I really loved this video with the goauche! It turned out just beautifully and I may have to purchase some of that. I've never used it but it might be time to try it out!!!

I love this! I have the gouache paints and use them dry like the watercolors...I have not used them wet like you did.... mind blown! This piece is so free and fun! Definitely necessary today! Fyi... it makes fantastic splatters, esp the white. ♥️
