Three most recommended areas to live in Dayton area, in my opinion, are: Centerville, Bellbrook, Beavercreek. Springboro is nice but further south beyond Centerville. There are other nice areas, but I think those areas are the best. Situated along I-675 to the south and east of Dayton. Easy to go to Cincinnati or Columbus. Shopping at three different malls. Food options. Easy access to any place in the Dayton area. Wright-Patt AFB is just north of Beavercreek in Fairborn. Big downer is high taxes, needed to support very good schools in those 3 suburbs.

Did you seriously just brag on the fall here?? For real?! I ended up having to move here from Western NC a couple years back when my other half's mother was diagnosed with what we were told at the time was terminal cancer. Living here almost got us the grand prize of our very own divorce lol. I DESPISE Dayton but that of course is always a matter of opinion. But what's surely not just opinion is fall. I realize that coming from Western NC I'm going to be a bit of a... Snob lol about the way our leaves look down South but fall here in Dayton is a terrible joke! I swear I think both it and spring consist of five or six days of slightly cooler, humid days than the ones the week before (reverse that to slightly hotter, humid days for spring) then BAM!! I'm freezing cold, fall is over and like magic there is somehow slushy, dirty snow lining the sidewalks and roads and the sky is grey and depressing for the next seven months! **Sigh** Can't wait to see fall back home this coming year.. The mountains look like God himself has draped patchwork quilts made up of pumpkin orange, cranberry burgundy, Maple blaze flame red, rich, jewel toned gold, and every shade in between over-the-top of the mountains. Now THAT is what a true fall should look like! Thank y'all for letting me gripe for a moment lol; I'm a bit homesick. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

@@heatherrogers3411 Heather, my son lives in Florida and when he visits family back in Dayton he “freezes” if it’s 65 degrees. If you are accustomed to one climate and then come to another, it’s going to be different. Oh, and we lack mountains - sorry! I recall visiting my grandmother up in Tony, WI where they have about 6 weeks of what I call “summer” - too cold for me, but people up there seem to like it. Fall really isn’t my favorite season, but we get a bit of it. Who’s outside in Fall when it’s football season! Lol. To each their own.
