So glad to see a new video from you. I agree with everything you said in the video. I currently have 2 Guinea pigs but both the crisper drawers in the fridge hold their veggies. I have a small house and their cage and accessories take up about 25% of my living room. But the biggest surprise when I first got my piggies was the amount of poop generated. I use a disposable serving tong to pick up poop and surprised that it hasn’t worn out in 6 years.
Thank you for the video and for being a responsible caregiver to your Guinea pigs. Part of the difficulty for the owners is that these are indoor pets, living 24/7/365 in a cage. If you had access to a ( safe and well-planned) outdoor enclosure, for part of their day, grass and other appropriate vegetation could be part of their diet… and the outdoor environment could also absorb some of the urine and millions of poops! I’m trying to imagine a nice lawn area, and how funny, transferring some of their beautiful hammocks (!!) and hideys to a lawn! Only in good weather.
@@PetiteCavy OMG No problem!!! Every time I see that you upload, I’m there immediately to see how interesting and amazing it is. Your videos help me ✨SO✨much. As soon as I got my piggies, Fluffy and Flora. I immediately turned to you. Dont thank me, Thank you!!! 😊 💕
@@PetiteCavy I recently moved to an apartment on my own and I get quite lonely. So I was thinking about getting Guinea Pigs. As I don't want to leave a dog alone, and I live next to a busy road so can't get a cat. I saw your video on potty training them, I don't know if I can deal with that much poop 🤣
@@PetiteCavy I have lost a few along the way and I find it very devastating I still have 7 piggies right now but that’s it …. majority of them are 4+ I have decided to try owning chinchillas since they have far less health problems and live 3 times longer plus I don’t have to worry about veggies

Are you planning to continue with piggies in a future?
Hi! We'll see what the future holds for us. With the recent loss of Poppy, I find it really challenging 😢💖

I love my 5 pigs, but I would never own them again.
They are expensive and you will be a slave to them!! ❤
I understand. All pets require care and time, it's a significant commitment to have and take care of guinea pigs. 💖✨
I’m with you on everything you’ve said
No more piggies for me later on
