Dill contains carotene, thiamine, ascorbic acid, pectin substances, minerals and vitamins. Dill is useful for digestion - it reduces the formation of gases in the intestines, suppresses putrefactive processes, improves appetite and digestion, and stimulates milk production. Guinea pigs can be given leaves and stems, but only in small quantities due to the content of essential oils. (Information from the Internet)
Thank you so much, Oleg, for this very informative elaboration on the value of dill! I really appreciate it! You are so right! Dill can't be fed to piggies too often! Even though my piggies love dill, I can only give them a bunch yearly. Thank you again for your excellent comment! 😃
Oh what lovely bubs , dill, they love it , i must try and get some for my girls .. mine love fresh grass out the garden, ...it's their absolute favourite .. and its been the only way ive been able to get close to them , two will come & take it from me , its taken two months , we are gettingbthere tho x 🎉
So glad to know you have a garden of grass to feed your girls! My trio also likes fresh grass! But the season is almost over. We have a friend, Alexei, who makes homemade hay for his piggies. I document his story in EP129 in case you are interested: ua-cam.com/video/wPyDHyhB9B4/v-deo.html I will do what Alexei does next year--make my own hay for piggies out of the backyard grass! 😄 My best wishes to all your piggies! 🥰😍
