Everything shown in this video is easy for me except the forward roll on rings, which I have never done. That's because I never fall forward and/or because I am too frightened! I will check out your forward roll tutorial and see if that helps.
@@PaulTwyman Oh, OK, that explains it. I've got no muscle-up at all, strong or otherwise! I do sets of 3 pull-ups with an added 30% of bodyweight, and have worked on the false grip, but still can't get the transition.
Someone at the gymnastics center saw my video and said I arched my lower back. I will try again today. Even the tuck you do before extension is challenging.
@@PaulTwyman Don't have the play room you have. I lean slightly to one side of the ropes to hold the shoulder stand - it's a bit of a cheat. I do find more stability turning the rings outwards but it's still challenging to straighten out the legs without leaning on one rope. Maybe playing with varied extension points until it's straight is the answer - that's my guess.
Thanks Paul !!!! Well explained & demonstrated 👍👍
Thank You!
Brilliant tips, look forward to trying them out!
Awesome let me know how you go
Great video Paul. Very helpful 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Would you say it's better to contract your abs and core while doing this?
As much as needed as needed to make the shoulders to toes one segment. But not too much to waste energy or effect balance
Merci 🙏 👍
Great!

Yeah takes a few reps of rolling forwards through the rings to get used it, once you have the confidence and a strong MU the forward roll will come

@@alanequi2786 do some seated rows. If you can pull up more than your weight, you should be able to get it.
I can only stay in vertical position. If I'm at that 80 degree angle, I fall back on my feet since I've been unable to hold it.
Yeah it’s probably positioning of the shoulders away from the hands
