You rock brother, you are a true motherf*ckin' KoRn fan! I just saw them live in 2022 with Helmet and Evanescence and they were amazing. Helmet and Evanescence put on a good show but KoRn blew them away!
I'm still absolutely baffled that L. Shankar, a classically-trained Indian violinist who has played with other renowned artists like Zappa and Peter Gabriel is here playing violin and doing backup vocals for Jonathan Davis, at the age of 57!! Talk about strange bedfellows. And he's so into it too! How many classically-trained world musicians from the 70s who were brought up with very different styles of music would be this into a genre of music that only arose 20 years later? It's always so refreshing to see older musicians be this open-minded. His contributions to the Queen of the Damned soundtrack made the songs sound so much more than just average nu-metal, and it shines through even more here.
I always thought that was done on an instrument or effect thing. like a modified oboe or something. never knew it was a person til this video. absolutely amazing
Sometimes it depends on who you know and can work with. For example-Metellica and their double live S and M done with a orchestra where one did not overstep the other-a good symmetry. Jonathon Davis's dad used to be a musician who played with Buck Owens and Frank Zapa as a keyboardist.
Swear to the God's I got a tat of his entire name on my heart because of that song. Yeah, I'm a dork 🤷🏻♀️. But I felt like it's a thank you and I love you too kind of thing. That song is so heartfelt dude.

I’m so sorry you lost your cousin. I have also lost people in my life to depression and suicide and drug overdose. This music helps me through my pain, just as you have described. Jon has experienced so much pain, and luckily for us, he shares his incredibly damaged yet beautiful & soulful spirit with us through his music.
Jonathan has a Voice that has a dimension like no other! sorrow, pain, truth you namn it! The man has a voice that speech right to you, he has another dimension in his performance and you can feel it all. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
What a cathartic concert! I have been listening to this daily for 6 days now. 12yrs sober yesterday. Quite a fucking Beautiful Chaos! 🎭 Been resonating with the emotional release in their lyrics & instruments. It is helping me to purge old outdated shit I don't need anymore. That stuff that keeps me stuck. So I can move forward with my life. That fucking gutteral, Shamanic & primal scream in that song 'just want to laugh again.' I feel his depth of honoring pain & the releasing of it in that scream! His entire being was emersed in that shit! Fucking Incredible! Must have been insane to witness that from the front row! I wish I could scream & move my body like he does in that chair! So damn provoking! He is a Warrior on a deep healing journey. I am too...💞🙏🎭 This is the best fucking show I have ever seen. Really well done show & the filming was great! His interaction with the crowd was fun! He is a gift to the world! Love that 'its haunting me' part. Spoken Word!
Omg this is so bad ass and I had no idea it existed☠️. And I love the Queen of The Damned songs being in the set list. I’m glad he could perform them like this, since they go so well with orchestral music.
So, apparently Jon wrote the original soundtrack (lyrics and all) but due to a contract (if I'm not mistaken) he was with Sony in so they didn't want his voice appearing on the soundtrack.
Totally, the arrangement of the music is fascinating. before people can go off and talk shitt about Nu Metal, that it's just loud and distortion, this performance proves them wrong. It's actually EXTREMELY light in guitar....It's mostly Jon's amazing voice, Piano, Cello, Analog Bass, and Violin dominate the sound. It works brilliantly.
