Im glad i found this video. I saw my cousin Shane Gibson playing with Jonathan in Korn. He was playing the guitar and made me very proud of him. god will be with him RIP. He was a phenomenal guitarist. Fantastic gift of his fingers.
INDEED! partys in usa
What happened to Shane Gibson how did he died?

He was so talented. I hope it gives u comfort to know his music continues to bring happiness to so many of us! So sorry for ur loss!
That guy playing violin and back up vocals behind Jonathan Davis deserves a recognition!
@Mercenary Diaz thank you for the correction. :)
His name is Shankar, if you're referring to the guy with the double violin. The Cello is the 6-foot tall instrument.
That's A double violin and he is very well recognized, Google L.Shenkar
@@Taurusus no sir that’s a 5 string double bass, a cello would be way smaller than that one
@@Taurusus I don't care what he's playing, he is definitely my favorite. Loads of talent and hauntingly hot hot hot!
Jonathan Davis : giving a new meaning to "rocking chair"
That's great 😂🙏
Riiiight
LoL 🤣, I love j.d. and this is prob my fav song by him, but damn that's funny!

Fkn right he does!!! That'll be me at 90...with my FIREBALL🤣🤣🤣
Vocally this may be the best Jonathan Davis we've ever seen. Holy shit.
It definitely is but its because his off all the drugs and alcohol that's why, I LOVE THIS MAN!!
Probably because he is sitting down
Like a lot "The Encounter", in the field. Great voice.
I agree, man, this is amazing live, you can feel his control over his voice, finally.
@@pipipopocacaable The Encounter was bad ass...💯
Most energy ever...sitting down.
he is the boss
Ill be amazed if he stays in the chair.15:34
JD does has the energy to get down on each song n' the whole set on the chair n' the stage too. He's pretty damn good singing his music non missed lyrics.
Idk, saw Rage Against The Machine right after he tore his Achilles and quite the energy
Been a Korn kid since 93. Now I'm 48 and still love Jonathan's voice just as much as the first time I heard it. Truly a gift from God!
Same here
Me too but I’m over 50
Pure talent
You rock brother, you are a true motherf*ckin' KoRn fan! I just saw them live in 2022 with Helmet and Evanescence and they were amazing. Helmet and Evanescence put on a good show but KoRn blew them away!
I'm still absolutely baffled that L. Shankar, a classically-trained Indian violinist who has played with other renowned artists like Zappa and Peter Gabriel is here playing violin and doing backup vocals for Jonathan Davis, at the age of 57!! Talk about strange bedfellows. And he's so into it too! How many classically-trained world musicians from the 70s who were brought up with very different styles of music would be this into a genre of music that only arose 20 years later? It's always so refreshing to see older musicians be this open-minded. His contributions to the Queen of the Damned soundtrack made the songs sound so much more than just average nu-metal, and it shines through even more here.
I would-Musics not that different if you listen to the spirit
He is about 50
I always thought that was done on an instrument or effect thing. like a modified oboe or something. never knew it was a person til this video. absolutely amazing
Sometimes it depends on who you know and can work with. For example-Metellica and their double live S and M done with a orchestra where one did not overstep the other-a good symmetry. Jonathon Davis's dad used to be a musician who played with Buck Owens and Frank Zapa as a keyboardist.
Good songs are good songs, of course he’s into it
I love how emotionally Jonathan sings! He can barely sit in his chair 😃🖤
You sure it’s not the meth?

Jonathan has a Voice that has a dimension like no other! sorrow, pain, truth you namn it! The man has a voice that speech right to you, he has another dimension in his performance and you can feel it all. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
In one breath you hear anger, pain, sorrow, love, frustration, wisdom and strength
For those who recognize, it’s Queen of the Damned songs from the movie. And for those who REALLY don’t know, ladies and gentlemen, meet Johnathan Davis, lead singer of Korn! He represented a music movement that happened in the late 90’s, some know it as Nu-Metal. Korn is getting some newer respect these days. As usually happens to deserving musicians who still inspired in their time, yet seem to gain momentum as the years pass. In other words…..LEGENDS.
is this movie worth watching?

sounds like studio quality vocals?! this is so incredible.
Sounded that good at the time! I was at this gig and it was f**king incredible. I've seen koRn and a couple of other JD's solo performances, and they've all been real good, but this one definitely stands out.
I can't stop watching it again and again,
Same, have it on a loop 🤯
same too, fan of korn and of john, and this live is awesome
Anche io. Ogni volta più prezioso ❤️🔥
I watch this video 10 times a week, as loud as possible. JD is in a league of his own. A phenomenal talent. Korn is life!!!
This man is an absolute gift from the heavens! I never get tired of watching him perform and what a joy to see him just evolve and grow over all these years! As fans we’re so lucky he chose to be sober-it kept his voice in great condition. Every time he sings 4U...Chills listening and watching him perform Forsaken!!! Alone I Break is one of my personal faves and I love it means so much to him too...In August 2019 my cousin(and fellow FREAK) got tix for us to see Korn for my birthday-25 years since we first heard “ARE YOU READY” and it changed us forever! Just a few weeks before the concert she died suddenly and left an endless black nothing(I lost my cousin in the same way he lost his wife) and just a couple months later I was listening to The Nothing. He has no idea how therapeutic and freeing his music and lyrics have helped me. She’d always tease me I only married my husband 17 years ago to have my own John Davis(his real name lol). Now it’s 26 years later and I’ll be watching the virtual concert 4/24/21 and I will be rocking with my cousin and I hope Jonathan and Korn keeps going forever! Lily White-I should’ve posted this long ago-THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS! Losing those most important to us shouldn’t make this mean so much more now, but it does!
STILL A FREAK🖤 KORN FOREVER🖤
I’m so sorry you lost your cousin. I have also lost people in my life to depression and suicide and drug overdose. This music helps me through my pain, just as you have described. Jon has experienced so much pain, and luckily for us, he shares his incredibly damaged yet beautiful & soulful spirit with us through his music.
🙏❤️
After much deliberation and 27 years as a KoRn FangiRL seeing them live, having all their albums and much merch, listening to every live performance imaginable and scouring the internet for rare JD tracks from his pre-Korn time I am going to say This is his best performance of "4U" ever.
I enjoy 4U more with each listen.
The violen guy got mad skills and a vampire voice God gifted
This was outstanding. The first time I've ever heard of the queen of the damned songs live. Brilliant proformance ever.
God I fucking loved this! That soundtrack was awesome!
U gotta hear the "Johnathan Davis Sirius" recordings on UA-cam... they're even better versions.. if you can believe that!!
.
I love this man.
Seeing him like this and not just with korn really brings out his talent and just shows what a hell of an artist he really is.damn good show
I'm trying to find my 16 year old self in the crowd. I got there hours before the doors opened. I was a huge Korn fan. I've never properly watched this footage. I'm rediscovering my love for this music after years
@@walter.mairena I didn't unfortunately
Omg this is so bad ass and I had no idea it existed☠️. And I love the Queen of The Damned songs being in the set list. I’m glad he could perform them like this, since they go so well with orchestral music.
Origin KoRn ❤️
So, apparently Jon wrote the original soundtrack (lyrics and all) but due to a contract (if I'm not mistaken) he was with Sony in so they didn't want his voice appearing on the soundtrack.
Totally, the arrangement of the music is fascinating. before people can go off and talk shitt about Nu Metal, that it's just loud and distortion, this performance proves them wrong. It's actually EXTREMELY light in guitar....It's mostly Jon's amazing voice, Piano, Cello, Analog Bass, and Violin dominate the sound. It works brilliantly.
Love the Middle Eastern vibes of this concert.....Jonathan has such a unique voice.
Incredible! This performance of Hey Daddy is one of the best things I have seen. It's amazing how Jonathan can put so much emoticon and It feels so real. He clearly love what he does.
Hell yeah.
Chris Cornell Chester Bennington and Jonathan Davis, pure gold of voices
all at fallen gates.144 ...bless thee choosen ones
I agree with those names but I would also put Chino and Chad Grey aswell
Gawd DANG these musicians are INCREDIBLE I clicked on this from curiosity and couldn't stop or switch it off as it's SO GOOD the cellist and violinist/whatever that thing is are INCREDIBLE. And of course, JD gives me tingly feelings. He's amazing
The group is amazing I see why Johnathan wanted to do this. Brovo
That is a double bass, not cello.
@@thomasbutler5446 Cheers :>
Aww, in some scenes it looks like Jon is gonna cry, I guess he was so happy to perform there
Agreed 100%. I'm so sad that Shane (the guitarist) passed away. He was so very, very talented. They all are. I was at this show and it was absolute fire.
RIP Shane Gibson.
This is absolutely the best stuff I have ever heard!! I can't stop watching ..Jonathan's passion in his music makes him so sexy!!

Man that was intense... I love it, too much energy. That´s a real artist!
Yes it is! Love JD!
That's a real artist that surreal artist.
JD brings the most intense and amazing energy to any venue🖤 my favorite artist ever ❤️
What a cathartic concert! I have been listening to this daily for 6 days now. 12yrs sober yesterday. Quite a fucking Beautiful Chaos! 🎭 Been resonating with the emotional release in their lyrics & instruments. It is helping me to purge old outdated shit I don't need anymore. That stuff that keeps me stuck. So I can move forward with my life. That fucking gutteral, Shamanic & primal scream in that song 'just want to laugh again.' I feel his depth of honoring pain & the releasing of it in that scream! His entire being was emersed in that shit! Fucking Incredible! Must have been insane to witness that from the front row! I wish I could scream & move my body like he does in that chair! So damn provoking! He is a Warrior on a deep healing journey. I am too...💞🙏🎭
This is the best fucking show I have ever seen. Really well done show & the filming was great! His interaction with the crowd was fun! He is a gift to the world! Love that 'its haunting me' part. Spoken Word!

Never saw this before, this is one of the best musical things Jonathan has done!!
The most powerful live performance of "4U"...
Wow!! Yes it was!!!
Is that song about the audience and fans?
@@tishlove1866 Well, I think since a lot if not most of his lyrics are in one way or another about his trauma, especially when he was young, singing about it constantly and being reminded of it might indicate his damnation to misery and hate.
@@karlopostrimovski I don't want him to be damned to misery. I like him.
@@tishlove1866 I dont know why he wrote it, but I am going on thru something, and this song fully describes what is on my mind

What a f***ing masterpiece!!
Two legends L Shankar and Jonathan Davis!
True !!!

coming back to listen to his performance in the vid it’s so awesome!
You can feel the emotion in John’s voice because he’s lived it, everything he sings about John has been through it and conquered it all. Legend.
Jonathan Davis listened to you 20 years ago, always thanking you for everything you give, greetings from Cordoba, Argentina
Forsaken! What a brilliant song and version. Both JD and Shenkar are so good on this one.
Hell yeah! I'm here for that performance but...he killed ALL of it!!🤩😛🤟🤩
Seen koRn 6 times, WISH I were here!!!! By far the BEST OF THE BEST! Brings so much energy and his vocals are always Prestine! NO ONE can do it like JD, NO ONE!
6 times, lucky man!
Why doesn't this have over a million views?
Because lots of people (in general) have very bad taste of music. JD/Korn is not very popular because of this reason.
Not everyone can understand the deep meaning of their talent, of their art.
Holy shit his voice is powerful. Great take on the music and the style too.
From being a past singer, I can say its absolutely amazing he can belt out and sound so good sitting down!! Amazing! Jonathan Davis!
Goosebumps on repeat! Much love from Saint Paul MN.... long time fan 1993!
When Jonathan Davis sings everything seems magical 🤘🤘
KICK AZZ performance!
So glad I was put on to this video!😎🙋♀️🤟😛🤩
I loooove this and his passion and energy 😍
Hello beloved fan 😍😍
JD,You give me life.
RIP SHANE GIBSON. What a gifted musician, only to pass all too young, like so many tragically do. I guess there’s a kick ass band in the afterlife that they all go too.
It’s like he’s a music clairvoyant and his body is the vessel that the music travels through 👌👌
Well done! Yes, as well as everything in between...the unseen is much more powerful than the material.
He's truly done a service to humanity. Guess you could say, "takes one to know one", as far as a clairvoyant, conduit or channel. Intuitive gifts can (and usually do) cause much pain and suffering. And the risk we take in being & staying authentically us requires one to have a VERY strong will & determination and courageous heart. The last 26 years are proof in action of that, thanks to this man. #StayWeird
