Through 1970 and 1971 the Bungies was one of my favourite haunts along with St Martins in the Fields Crypt folk club and the Round House. Lucky to have lived through those carefree days when anything seemed possible. RIP David Bowie
Imagine my surprise when i found this . . nice to see all those faces from those halcyon days sorry i wasnt there to say hi . . im alive and well living in Milton Keynes with my girlfriend still playing but just for fun these days i shall never forget those Bunjies days stay well Mike Lee
A friend and I spent many evenings at Bunjies in 1993. There was a poet who was there regularly named George (tall, skinny and sort of shy with a mess of dark hair). We'd love to find him but it's tough with only a first name and venue. If anyone remembers him and can point us in the right direction - that would be awesome
I used to go to Bunjies during the 1980's when I was visiting London. A few of the regulars with floor spots that I remember seeing are: Mike Lee (great singer who covered a lot of Ralph McTell songs), Brackenwood (folk duo) and a girl called, Sippy. I bought an LP at Bunjies (shown on the beginning of this video I believe). It had various singer's who had performed at Bunjies over the years. Was there another LP? Or only the one album? Ever released on CD?
