I like how cool you were just sitting there when you realized that airdropped torpedo appeared. As soon as I saw it on the map I would've been emergency deep, all ahead flank, LOL
Haha yeah my finger did twitch, but I had a moss making noise for me. It’s defo a test of nerves trying to get it to pick that up on the counter measure 😂. Really glad you liked it!

If only Iron Wolf had that same level....music is amazing, the claustrophobic atmosphere, that sense of solving part of the puzzle, to id, classify, then the 2nd part of the puzzle of how to engage
It is! Iron wolf is about a quick game with friends / strangers. I hope as the number of players grow closer to release more complex missions are made that involve exactly the sense of strategy and foreboding you described.
This first episode was the start of a long learning curve in editing land. I change the music quite a lot as the series progresses (as well as my recording style). I hope you like the way it goes, I’ve been working too much to record lately - but that is about to change.
I will be recording a fair bit with intent to publish all of it throughout April and beyond.
@@SchrodingerDeeps That's awesome to know, I just checked out the open world map yesterday in Iron Wolf, ran into a couple of destroyers :D :D needless to say that my biggest accomplishment was being able to escape with 35% hull integrity :'D

Haha that made me laugh! If I ever look back at these old episodes I find myself wanting to kick old me in the head.
The Spearfish is probably the only torpedo I fear more than the ADCAP when playing the Russians.

I really enjoyed the mod, expecially from the soviet side, but I wish it had more NATO ships models, as well a slightly better AI and balance in enemy counter. Firstly US subs did not travel in wolfpacks so I shouldnt have to fight more than two of them, secondly bruh, how am I supposed to fight 6 ships on my own. Even if I win it feels too unrealistic.
Yeah I don’t treat it as a super realistic sim myself, just a fun game where you get to be the messenger of death and destruction - saving the day against impossible odds 😂

Great Video! How do you get the HUD to have the tool bars like that. I also really like the blue tint rather than the default green. I have the latest version installed but still have the old stock HUD

How did he deployed the towed array? I dont find any shortcut for this device in the Manual. Please Help
In epic mod press the “backspace” key. Otherwise it’s just out automatically if the unit has one.

Epic mod blows chunks. Only the Alston mod is worth the download as it makes things far more difficult while in keeping with the realism as the oem Killerfish intended.

I think various SSBN is available in epic mod.
Trafalgar boats are better in real life than any Soviet boat. The Soviet boats sonar was so terrible that they'd all be dead before detecting a Trafalgar.

I did cheat in this however - since I’m running around with Spearfish 😇. Massive advantage.
@@SchrodingerDeeps not a cheat since the wire break rate on the Tigerfish is unrealistic in game. I modded the files to be more accurate. The last four T boats could have been given to Australia and had a complex overhaul and refueling. They could serve in the interim while building Astute or 774 boats. The late model Trafalgar Class were a force to be reckoned with. A big problem is ship yard and dry dock space. Also since it takes a lot of skill when dealing with tea kettles getting people would be near impossible.

I’m currently live streaming the Royal Navy campaign - it’s in the Oberon and is incredibly difficult.
A very real challenge since lots of enemy units simply out run the tigerfish - that combined with being turtle slow and lacking decent countermeasures makes it a very long game where running is often the preferred option…

How to get those huds? The huds always cover up my last 4 tubes
When I installed epic mod I had a couple of options for different layouts inside the mod loader.
@@SchrodingerDeeps I don't get it. You mean the "Epic mod Install"?
Yeah I had a few files, one of them stacked the menu vertically the other horizontal, I chose the horizontal one. I find it strange that it’s covering your tubes mind; that may be a resolution issue? Epic Mod has a discord- they tend to be really helpful with mod installation issues. discord.gg/CX7UUVxD (this expires in a day)
