Remove DRZ400 PAIR Valve

How to Remove a DRZ400 PAIR Valve. I did not have a carburetor solenoid to remove.
If so, 1. Plug up hole in air box. 2. Remove solenoid and plug up with RTV. 3. If carburetor has extra hose on the top cap above the diaphragm plug that up too.

Just learnt that doing this really eliminates popping. Which is nice but mine had a little pop when shifting up and sume bubbling on decel. That is now gone unfortunately. Was not worth it for me but might be something for somebody

Are you not supposed to blank the secondary outlet on the petcock and blank the tube that goes to the top of the carb?

Yea thats why I left it connected. You can only block off the carb side once you upgraded you fuel switch to an On/Off type that isn't vacum fed. Then that secondary outlet wont exist

Did you put this on a scale to see how much it weighed?

No, I don't have an accurate measuring device. But I can't imagine all the emissions stuff weighed more than a pound or two

2:19 Not needed, causes exhaust to pop especially with an aftermarket one. Weight reduction & looks cleaner. Dirt bikes don't have them anyways

@@NateAsaurus just for another added use-case-- there are frame sliders you can buy and they replace the engine mount in the front, and the pair valve is in the way for those sliders
