  • Politicized de-banking is a rising concern as major banks continue to cut ties with people or organizations they disagree with. Read more: adflegal.org/article/de-banki...
Timothy Two Project International, a missions agency dedicated to training indigenous pastors received a letter from Bank of America informing it that its account would be closed within 21 days. Founder Steve Curtis said the only reason Bank of America gave for the closure was that the missions agency was “engaged in a type of business that it had chosen not to service.”
Alliance Defending Freedom has also been targeted by government agencies as a so-called “domestic terrorist” threat, and agencies have urged major banks to monitor ADF and other mainstream religious and political organizations.
In April 2024, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach and 14 other state AGs sent a letter calling Bank of America to curb its disturbing pattern of de-banking and participate in ADF’s Viewpoint Diversity Score Business Index. AG Kobach and Steve Curtis appeared on “Fox and Friends First” to discuss why politicized de-banking must be stopped.

Set the example now....sue the crap out of them. Let it set the precedent for any other institutions that wish to have the crap sued out of them too.

You drank the Kool-Aid. The ADF is pushing this nonsense as if it is a widespread conspiracy. A) Many of these organizations have a high risk profile. B) The ADF believes businesses should be able to discriminate and pick and choose their customers. So why are they complaining? If they think BofA doesn't want them then move to another bank. That easy!! BofA is a private - not a Govt bank.

Sue them for what? These banks have their own moral & religious beliefs that allow them to refuse customers. They don’t want to fund Uganda, for example, a govt that legalizes murder of gay people & other marginalized groups. Murder is a sin, correct?
