Great instructive video! I recently bought a lathe and am self-teaching mostly via youtube and largely Mike's videos. I'm sure there will be at least a handful of these awls in this year's Christmas basket. This one had all the details I need to get started. But dang -- I've not yet ever seen the quantity of commercials this one had. I guess if it's the "tuition" I'm paying to learn the craft, it's still a very good deal.
Excellent Tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to share.
So...I have watched several of Mikes videos. They are all LONG. But, he is a wealth of information. About 3/4 of the way through I looked at the number of views and saw 227. So, I was stunned since most of his long ones that I have seen are somewhat old (like me). And, I thought people were just not watching it due to the subject matter (since more than a few people don't even know what an awl is) or the length. Then I looked at the date and did a double take since it was posted yesterday! I have a couple of awls one of the birdcage type that I purchased about 15 years ago and another that is just a round rod with a point on it that I inherited from my Grandfather. Both have been used a lot but I may just go put new handles on them.
Great response, Thank you!
Awls are fun. I would rather turn an awl than a pen. Thanks for your support.
Thanks again Mike for another great video.
I don't understand why anyone would give this video a bad rating. I don't do things exactly the same way you do, but I learn something new every time I watch any of them. I am subscribed to your channel and have actually watched some of your videos several times.
Great point! Thank you for supporting Mike
Thanks for your support! Safe turning my friend.
