Why these players keep calling out journalists for not being players. This never happened back in the day. Journalists promote and make professional sports relevant. Some commenters are claiming KD said he's not a leader... I'm pretty sure KD made a statement attempting to give clarity on how he leads or presents himself as an example. The sentiment behind his words were I'm not a vocal leader. This has been misrepresented by some as him saying he's not a leader, based on some feeling that a leader must be vocal or else they can't lead.
The problem I see with SA is he is rated #1 in his field. He carries that attitude into all spheres. In check this has value. In regards to sport, specifically basketball, he is a frustrated wannabe player they live the life he wished for. SA is known for speaking with passion. Some of the energy is residual 'Skeelo energy'. For the most part his takes are grounded in facts and logic. However, too often he stinks it up with thinly veiled 'I could do it better energy'.
