Theme Song by Hello Control: bit.ly/hellocontrol - Фільми й анімація
I still sing "Turbulent Displacement" at my desk at work while people around me grow concerned. Thanks for bringing it back.
I'm glad it's not just me...
I mumbled on an airplane when the pilot said turbulence. I started singing it and realized what I was doing and mumbled into nothing. I was the crazy guy talking to himself on that flight.
So true man. Even worse for me is their dolla dolla bills yall song 😂
Ah, that was so good.
Yeah, immediately scrolling down to read comments xD
Love these kind of short and sweet tutorials, please keep them coming!! They're not too beginner-ish, but also not insanely hard or drawn out. Thanks Film Riot!
I really love it when you use the turbulent displacement, for the sake of the song
مرحبا
شعري بيققققققع يا دكتووور
@@Khaled-wp3vb هههههههه
So hyped right now! Can't wait for more in depth tutorials like this! Not only for the techniques used but also for the major inspiration for new projects!
I love how when editing each individual effect looks Janky on its own. But when you put it all together it looks so cool!
For the life of me I couldn't figure out a way to make my turbulent noise black for years without some sort of work around and you have finally given me an answer to that! You sir are a gentleman and scholar!.. lol
I am absolutely in love with RG's Optical Glow. It completely blows away all other Glow effects before it. It's versatile, it's powerful, and it's all-around great.
What I like about this series is that it assumes you are familiar with after effects and basic editing practices rather than wasting your time explaining what hotkeys to press and breaking down every single keyframe.
And that's where i come in
I'm so glad you created this tutorial. This effect was one of the reasons I bought the Infinity Pack. Life is complete.
Ayy, feeling like film riot is coming BACK again! Hope we'll continue to see more tutorial like these and not only with vfx! AMAZING
hell yeah. they sure do seem to resurface.
Turbulent displacement still brings a smile to my face every time! Love the call back
As soon as I saw the effect, I smiled, knowing we were gonna get the turbulent displacement bit at some point in the episode. Thanks for making my night 😄
Bro can you give me this asset Google drive link I can't buy it please
It does my heart a joy to see the Turbulent Displacement dance is still a thing!
This was so well executed. Definitely keep these coming! Loving the new VFX packs as well as all the release trailers and VFX breakdowns from Thompson.
Sweet! Love this! Thanks!
This is what I want from every tutorial. Short, efficient and explaining stuff step by step!
When he said the Word Turbulent and about to say displacement I instantly thought I wonder if he's gonna play that clip like back in the day and yep they did it. Made my day . Film Riot still has that clip saved some where special on their hard drives just in case for occasions like this.
JCL Productions hahaha same here exactly lol
OMG I literally watch the infinity trailer and wanted to recreate the disintegration effect yesterday and these were the EXACT STEPS I TOOK xD
Thanks for this Ryan, we'll look forward to seeing more of this type of tutorial. also, it is great to hear your voice slow and clear, I remember how you do your tutorials way back it was fast as lightning.
Absolutely love this! I’ll watch every single tutorial, multiple times 😆
While I do really like your current content, I've really missed your earlier work with diy builds and effects tutorials. Thanks for this! - also, you guys have gotten a lot of miliage out of that turbulent displacement music video... it never fails to make me giggle hysterically and I love how it always comes in during a serious tutorial piece so it's always unexpected :D
I cannot say enough how helpful your tutorials have been for myself and crew. I just wanted to say Hi and THANK YOU!!!!
You are by far the best teacher for soft soft . It's very complicated at first - overwhelming, actually - but, you make it doable for
Film Riot was the first show on UA-cam I watched that made me love filmmaking and also not limiting the lessons to beginner stuff but to some really great feature quality effects and the like.
I've been waiting for this since the day you posted the promo for the VFX Assets Colllection!! Thank you!!
I really like the idea of bringing back videos like these, looking forward to the next tutorial tuesdays :D

Great to see you do tutorials again. But I really miss when you made your sketches from the house. You always got me in a good mood. You have such great humor. Inspiring stuff :D
Really looking forward to more in this series! Great tips.
Love it, man. I’ll be checking out the series.
Glad to see the turbulent displacement dance survived the turn of the decade. Makes me happy.
I like a lot of your content, especially the BTS on-set stuff. But this right here is why I show up. To learn the details quickly and directly. Seeing not only what a tool or feature does but the approach and considerations as a shot or effect is developed.
broken it down makes it seem so user-friendly and easy to use. I can’t wait to start making soft! Thanks again!
