  • The Hollyford Track is open, leading hikers on a four-day trail to Martins Bay.
People have actually been walking this land for centuries. The track has been owned by Ngāi Tahu since 2003, whose ancestors were the first guides for many of the early European explorers visiting the valley.
Last year flood damage cut off the scenic bushtrail from visitors. But thanks to a heroic effort the trailhead is welcoming walkers again to one of the most adventurous tracks New Zealand has to offer.
For active relaxers, Fiordland's mountain-pass-to-coast track offers the perfect short break to leave you refreshed and in awe of Aotearoa's history and beauty.
