I’ve been a huge fan for about 4 years. I actually did this hike about 3 years ago, after being inspired by you. It’s crazy to see you do the same hike. The memories where flooding back. Funny story but at the camp one of the parrots actually ate all my food but a jar of peanut butter that was stashed in my tent. I woke up to a total crime scene out my tent when I woke up. Needless to say, this trail has had a huge impact on me and I’m really happy seeing you do the same trail. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
I think many of us who watch your videos ask ourselves: Why are Kraig Adams hiking films so good? Superior editing? Better narratives? Better Music? I really think your strength is how you appreciate the viewpoint of your audience. Your latest hikes incorporate your friends and more of your relationships with wildlife. It made me think that the part of you that must be a really decent, humble human being is the vicarious viewpoint that allows us to experience the natural world you photograph as beautiful. Merry Christmas, Kraig Adams. Thanks again for a great video.
It’s really the amount of effort he puts into it and showing the amazing landscapes. I imagine it’s super tedious to keep having to set up the tri pod just to capture a clip of him walking, especially at an incline. He has to set it up, go back up the incline, then go back down to retrieve his camera, and do the incline again. And for these long hikes that adds up, most people won’t do that so that’s what makes his content more enjoyable
Oh I hiked this one back in 2016 ! Your video brings back a lot of good memories. The Keas, the fjords, the unspoiled nature... Thank you for your inspiring work ❤
How great are those Kea encounters!?? Epic to see Kraig enjoying some of Aotearoa's finest. Hope to see you here again, there's so much more to discover.
New Zealand has boundless beauty. I had the good fortune to work with Kiwis on the New Plymouth Gas to Gas project. They were just some of the most incredible, nice, congenial, hospital people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
I've run this three times as part of the Kepler challenge ultra run. The trail up into the peaks is stunning and Te Anau is a magical place. Welcome to NZ!
Your vids are bringing back some memories! Was lucky enough to spend 3months there in summer of 04, did 13 multi day hikes including the Kepler and the Rees-Dart tracks. Nice vids, keep them coming
Last night I had my first panic/anxiety attack. Today I am still extremely anxious and can't even eat or function but watching these videos helps a little
I had to craw up those stairs in the wind and snow; nice to see it calm. I forgot how I felt like I was on the moon at that one point with the fog. Beautiful video
Don't worry they will find anything that is dangling and rip it off. There are videos where Kea's have stolen gopro's that were left for less than two minutes at Luxmore Hut. As a Kiwi myself, I love them to bits, but you definitely don't view them as wholesome after they rip off the rubber of your windscreen wipers haha
Hey Kraig! I have been watching your videos for a while now, very inspiring. Although I have been stuck stateside (as amazing as it is), I did have the opportunity to go to New Zealand in December. I did not get to do many of the "great walks" so I am enjoying watching your series, but I still did a fair amount of hiking and sightseeing. Watching these videos shows me a side of New Zealand I might have missed, but also brings back the wonderful memories I did get to experience. Keep doing what you do, keep doing what you love. :) (P.S. I did get to see the pukeko statue, lol)
Beaut!!! Nice video Kraig, good to see you showing some of what New Zealand has to offer. The Milford Track is epic if you get a chance! And if you venture back through the North Island, do the Tongariro Northern Circuit (Tongariro National Park) two dayish hike - you wont be disappointed ;)
Wow beautiful...I believe and I could be wrong but...a nice part of hiking in New Zealand is that I don't think they have any predatory animals that you have to be aware of like bears, mountain lions, coyotes or wolfs..just the weather to keep an eye on, so you can relax a little more and just enjoy the amazing scenery that you did a great job, as usual, of capturing...you are the best out there...tremendous
I did this in 2016, heavy rain on the 1st day, everybody was soaked and have to dry their clothes in the hut. But when we passed through the clouds, I'm sure it is one of the most memorable experience in my life.
Hi Kraig, after watching your West Highland Way video, I did it myself and also filmed and uploaded it to my channel! Mine was much more of a disaster haha, but I loved it and somehow completed it 😄 It was my first time camping too Cheers, I'll have to do this hike it looked stunning!
Ugh, mad at myself for not doing this one while I was there. I did a bunch though: routeburn, northern crossing (includes tongariro), a little bit of abel tasman. Want to go back for Kepler and Heaphy. Maybe Taranaki.
I am such a fan of you adam I usually make lot of videos myself while trekking but I guess I’m gonna make this type of video now.. cause I absolutely love all of your video❤ also as A Nepali I appreciate the mention of DalBhat hahahaha❤
Мне нравится формат горных поход без слов. И конечно музыка атмосферная _ сильно погружает в этот МИР! Благодарю тебя Автор за этот формат, Привет из Сибири!
The parrot was hilarious. Looking forward to the return of videos on a pro camera (I notice the difference). So many opportunities for great drone footage. No drone by choice or are they not allowed?
Taking on the Kepler Track in NZ is like playing a real-life game of 'The Floor is Lava'-except the floor is nature, and it's stunning! 😂🌿 Loved your hike footage! By the way, I've got a UA-cam channel dedicated to hiking adventures too. Let's swap stories and trail tips sometime! Keep trekkin'!
The Kepler Track always holds a special place in my heart as it was the first of NZ’s Great Walks I ever did back in 2008. The Milford Track gets all the press but the Kepler is so much better! ⛰️🥾🦜❤
Listened to your podcast. If I heard you right you are going to Las Vegas. I happen to know a Serbian guy who has been living there for a few years who is true expert hiker and backpacker. Few people know Vegas is surrounded by beautiful mountains and has a lot of great hiking. Let me know if you want me to put you in touch with him.
We've got tons of NZ hiking videos on our channel. Would love some feedback if you're ever bored one morning/evening! So happy you got a chance to explore beautiful NZ. Keep up the great work ❤✌️
Hi Kraig, new subscriber here. Cricky, I posted a Kepler video three days ago and got 230+ views, you post one and get 37K+. Help another creator out please, if thumbnails and titles generate the impression - click-through rate, what could I do better? (yes I'm a minnow in comparison but is there more)?

Those kea are the same gang every year at Iris Burn! Got to hide stuff in your tent or you lose it haha.
Same. So many memories. Beautiful video. Incredible hike.
Never leave your luggage unattended on this track. My backpack almost go picked apart by curious Kea parrots 😂
00:20 😃 Looks like some of the great places we have been hiking! 👍

Spent our honeymoon in New Zealand in 2019 and did this walk. It was amazing, thank you for helping us relive the memories :)
Another great Video, thanks for taking us along, top notch scenery and B roll.
I am really excited going on this journey with you! It's so great to see the world thru your lens.
There is something just so special about NZ. Greatest country on earth ♥️
Loved my time in Te Anau just a few months ago. Thanks for sharing!

Lovely video, makes me nostalgic for recent trip there. And lol, slagging off the forest... don't let the mountains take all the glory!
Gorgeous!! My fav style of video by you. THANK YOU!!
Im going to New Zealand in march! This video could not have come at a better time! Beautiful!
I always enjoy watching your incredible videography.
That bird is so so cute~
I had to craw up those stairs in the wind and snow; nice to see it calm. I forgot how I felt like I was on the moon at that one point with the fog. Beautiful video
I love how curious the birds were of your gear. It feels so wholesome

As a Kiwi myself, I love them to bits, but you definitely don't view them as wholesome after they rip off the rubber of your windscreen wipers haha
They are not wholesome. They are little gremlins
Kea Kea, cheeky lil' buggers. Glad you got some nice views of the fiords.
Man, that first day up the hill...my poor quads! love your channel from NZ!

New Zealand is what people think Scotland is. I was fecking blown away when I went. Paradise.
I hiked it too! One of the best hikes in New Zealand for sure :)
Still the best

Yeiiii I've been waiting for this, after doing it myself last week. 🥰
Fine, I’ll go watch the extended versions of each of the lord of the rings.
beautiful landscapes 😍
When you left Renée, it was a scene straight out of lord of the rings, when Samwise left Frodo 😂
I did this in 2016, heavy rain on the 1st day, everybody was soaked and have to dry their clothes in the hut. But when we passed through the clouds, I'm sure it is one of the most memorable experience in my life.
I love how half way thru your video is a symmetrical view when you're passing right thru the middle.
Beautiful!
7:40 🥰🥰❤
My first multi day hike! Oh the memories.
Beautiful! You really captured the otherworldly beauty and tranquil atmosphere of New Zealand.

Just like Dal,Bhat ❤️
Nice❤❤

Hi Craig. A personal question if you don't mind. "Are you still married?" Also, "is it true that you're back in Brookyn?"
Welcome to Aotearoa, probably too late, but do the Abel Tasman Coastal track next
gorgeous
The best shots are 4:19 and 7:25 :)

In your secluded wanderings without the threat of wild animals, how have you prepared for such tranquility?
the first? pleasure!
The Kepler Track always holds a special place in my heart as it was the first of NZ’s Great Walks I ever did back in 2008. The Milford Track gets all the press but the Kepler is so much better! ⛰️🥾🦜❤
Those pants are awesome! Do you have a link or item information?
Pretty sure they’re Patagonia Terrebonne joggers.
I must go.
