    I love how the horse lifts his hoof for you, when you return from the shoeing station. (6:23) It shows that you've never given him a reason to distrust you. :)

      Couldn't the horse also know when it hears the water slosh that the shoe is about to get put on?

    So cool to see the horse just lift its own leg up at 6:25 Cos it knows you’re about to put the shoe on!

      Training, it’s all in the training. Horse Learns to anticipate the body signals given off by the handler and will react accordingly.

      @majooismajor well, when I owned my horses we had the farrier over every 6 to 8 weeks. Fortunately they didn't have problems with their hooves.😎

    I've only seen a couple of your videos, and it's definitely easier to watch with your camera turned this way. Do you ever talk during your videos - do some tutorial?

    Quick questions:
    On the front hooves, when the shoe is put on, why is there a clip? On the back hooves, when the shoe is put on, why is there no clip on those shoes?

    Why not make q cast for each horse shoe? You can melt the old one down and reuse it

      Probably to fit the shoe so it stays close to the hoof without problems.

    3 question is that hard. Does the horse feel pain? How much money you make🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

    • @jaykneegarner2479
      @jaykneegarner2479 3 роки тому +3

      To answer your questions! #1= hell yes it’s one hell of a workout! #2. Is circumstantial, in normal trimming on a healthy horse trimming and shoeing is not painful at all. Fitting the shoe while hot should not cause any discomfort unless you royally mess up. However a horse with significant joint disease it can be very uncomfortable to have the joints held in the normal trimming stance. Horses absolutely feel pain and will react in dangerous ways if you ignore that fact. The nails are designed to curve away from the sensitive parts of the foot.
      As for #3. Not nearly as much as some of them deserve. Where I live a basic set is around $80.00 with specialty shoeing going as high as $300.00 or more.
      If you want a taste of farrier work! Go to your kitchen and grab a can veggies and put it between your knees and pop a squat like you see a farrier stand. Hold that squat for 15 minutes X 4 with only a short break in between each set. Your legs if you don’t squat regularly that is are going to burn like hell. Next day it can and will feel as if someone kicked you ass. It’s one hell of a workout till you get used to the stance and build strong core muscles and legs. Farrier work is no joke, one bad trim can have serious and lasting repercussions for the horse.
