I like to think of equilibrium as a little man in the middle of the equation. When something increases, he runs away cuz he is scared. So if the LHS concentration increases, equilibrium shifts right as equilibrium runs away
At 04:29 you describe pressure in terms of gas particles, however you stated prior that pressure is amongst the factors that affect chemical reactions. How would gas particles then be used as an example of changing pressure in a 'chemical' reaction?
Are you under the impression that gases can't undergo chemical reactions? Because that's not true. Say... nitrogen and hydrogen reacting together to make ammonia, in the Haber Process. If you cram more particles into the same volume, they'll react faster.
@@DrdeBruinsClassroomThanks for the reply! I had thought that chemical reactions were only subject to scenarios where chemical changes take place. However, I had misunderstood the fact that chemical reactions can take place within all states of matter as you just explained with gas particles.
"Students should be able to: • recall the names of the salts produced when phosphate rock is treated with nitric acid, sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid • compare the industrial production of fertilisers with laboratory preparations of the same compounds, given appropriate information."
Your time stamp doesn't go to it, but I'm assuming you're talking about complete combustion equations? In which case, yes, you could "solve with halves" and then double up. I just tend to find lots of people struggle to get to 6.5 O2 or 9.5 O2 in the first place.
thank you so much your videos really have helped me!!! your the absolute best just wandering do you recommend any resources for physics paper 2 or will you make one as i am real need for some help and your the only teacher that really makes sense to me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I do have Combined Science paper 2, just not Triple! So you can certainly make use of that. I really like Physics Online (the lego man) but I think his paper 2 is behind a pay wall. Pretty sure Primrose Kitten has one?
Yes, this covers the full 8462 specification. Obviously there is still a small % of every paper which is putting the facts into new contexts, but this covers all of the facts that you're supposed to be able to actually KNOW rather than have to work out under pressure.
@@DrdeBruinsClassroom ah okay then, thank you anyway because these science videos have been a PERFECT help for revision - I’ve got mocks in two weeks and it’s all a bit stressful!
@@creativeweirdo6193 Have you spotted the Recall Q summaries? Not as good as a whole paper run through but might help with Physics revision. So far only done Units 1-3 of Physics but I'm getting there...

Are we allowed to write our answers in bullet points? I saw someone today say we can’t for AQA
You 100% can
Hey im sure theres more abt NPK fertilisers that we have to know about right?

Is this suitable for separate science higher ?
Yes. GCSE Chemistry is the separate science papers. There's a different video called Combined Science for the not-triple people

can i still use this, this year?
Yup. The spec hasn't changed since 2018
