- A revision video for the Chemistry Paper 1 of AQA GCSE Combined Science (9-1) (8464), covering:
- Unit 1 (Atomic Structure and the Periodic Table)
- Unit 2 (Structure and Bonding)
- Unit 3 (Quantitative Chemistry)
- Unit 4 (Chemical Changes)
- Unit 5 (Energy Changes)
This will also be useful for GCSE Chemistry (8462) but doesn't cover everything needed for the 'Triple Science' exams.

On a serious note, if you haven't already, check out p163 of the spec from AQA.org.uk/8464 It's the full list of the mathematical requirements, which make up 20% of the marks in GCSE Science.

Nope because there's no way that anybody can predict it unless they're cheating. There isn't like a rotation or anything.

at 38:54 can the answer of 270g not be worked out by dividing 54 (the Ar of Al x 2) by 102 (the Mr of Al2O3) and then multiplying by 510g (the total number of grams of Al2O3), I got the same number you did but is this just chance or an actual method i can use
Yes, you're still following the same operations just in a different order. The only thing is that your intermediate numbers don't mean anything, which - particularly at A level - can mean you end up losing working marks if something goes wonky in the middle. As long as you do all the steps though you would still get to the same answer.

no you dont have to wear masks when seated
How would you be able to remember the 8 covalent structures you have to draw?
1. They won't ask you to draw from scratch. They'll give you circles and ask you to add electrons.
2. Focus on remembering oxygen is double and nitrogen is triple.
3. Every other bond is a dot and a cross.
4. Every atom (out of the GCSE examples) apart from Hydrogen will obey the octet rule I.e. 8 electrons in its outer shell, including the shared ones

Yes. Just watch out for the headers that say Higher Tier only for the bits you don't need to know.

Yes. If you look at the headers they change colour whenever it's Higher Tier only content so those sitting Foundation can skip
can i revise AQA GCSE combine science if i have Cambridge (CIE) ?
i can hardly find any CIE revision videos T.T
A lot of it will be very similar, particularly AQA paper 1 as things like Atomic structure and bonding come up in every exam board. I'd be a bit more wary with paper 2 as some topics (like topic 10) are a bit niche and may not be in your exams!

It covers Higher as well as Foundation, but the Higher tier content is indicated in the header bars when it comes. (It changes colour and says Higher Tier).

Yes. The higher only topics have a header that says HIGHER TIER. Everything else is in both.
