I could swear that is a Russian/Ukrainian accent? But you do a great job explaining, and your video's are very quick and thorough even though they are long! My only suggestion is this: When you say "Stare at the object or line until the information screen pops up" It would actually be "hover" not "stare. You "hover" over things with your mouse. Otherwise excellent video, I have been learning a lot, your a great teacher.
Bai, I really like that your videos are broken into ten minute sections. It makes it feasible to watch one start to finish and follow along the second time. Even shorter segments might make learning even easier but the Smart Index helps enough for people who will use it.
Hey Bai really great tutorials, easy on the ears and well defined in your explanations. I am a newbie to autodesk and really need a detailed explanation on how to make and import the base layer to work from and design and build roads/junctions /roundabouts etc. would really appreciate your help keep up the great tutorials D
thanks for sharing ideas and make this tutorial you really help me to learn autocad ... this is my first time using this program and i think i can really do this time because of your tutorial...detailed and clearly set the icons where i can really find it
Hope to see a tutorial on how to get the most accurate lighting for mixed outdoor/indoor lighting in an interior scene; with special attention paid to showing a series of examples of how each parameter in the advanced render setting panel affects the final output. There's stuff like this everywhere for the other programs like 3DS Max and Maya, but not so much for the Mental Ray setup inside AutoCAD. Thanks for your work.
wow these videos are great.... and the fact that you are sooooo beautiful and obviously highly competent makes it easy to follow, also your voice and accent makes it intriguing. underlining message you are my dream girl.... i hope one day i can meet someone as beautiful as you but more importantly as intellectual as you are. Thank you
Grazie mille! These are amazing tutorials. I can't wait to start! Do you think I can create complex shapes in CADfree? or using google's 3D drawing program? Thanks!
That is not Russian or Ukrainian accent. I would guess she is from Italy. Anyway, great tutorials and this accent makes us listen more carefully and learn faster.
HI Bai the tutorials that are there are either poor quality or too fast and as a beginner neither help. none deal with start to finish explanations on T junctions or roaundabouts. but thanks anyway, i understand you are busy keep up the great tutorials D
Hi Bai do you think you could do a tutorial on this, i know you must get thousands of offers to do different subjects, but this would help me so much as there are no tutorials that do a complete start to finish tutorial that is understandable. please...please....please :}
Hello Bai! That was a good video. Since I've used sketchup as my main design software for a long time, and have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever about CAD, the fact I haven't seen you draw with perspective, really gets me nervous. I would like to know if there's a way to draw with 1, 2 or even 3 vanishing points. Thank you!
it would be great if you would explain, that when you select something, why is there a blue and green selection area, depending on the direction you pull the mouse, left or right.
Blue lines are for shapes that or constrain with dimensions and cannot move i.e. a cube 2*2*2 with a square on a side being 1in from the top and .5in from the side. Then all the lines will turn blue telling you its constrained
do you mean make a plane! would you need then to make your own road/junction alike in photoshop and then import! what about MAYA, how would you start the process there. i do not want to use gis data, only create an area to build on. where do i start there :}
Hi Bai. your videos are great. quick question to you or any of the folks out there: I don't seem to have "3D Tools" to load onto my toolbar, but rather a "Solids" tab and "Surfaces" tab. Did I buy a funny version of Acad, or am I missing something?
There are at least 3 kinds of workspaces available in AutoCAD, this one presented is the one by default. If the workspaces changes, it does change the way to reach a specific command or section (there is indeed a workspace for 3D projects in detail and one named as ''simplified'' as well). In your case I would also check your current version, since some (like the AutoCAD Lite, or LT) do not support all 3D commands presented.
***** Thanks Bai. I'm using a full version of AutoCad Architecture 2014 that I bought about a year ago, and just got around to installing. I also noticed that your pull-down "Drafting & Annotation" tab is missing from my toolbar. I just went through the gyrations of installing Express Tools, hoping that would cause the missing stuff to appear, but no such luck. hmmmm.
DougSimonARCH It should be your different workspace, which seems to be the classic one rather than this one presented. I managed to change workspace but it was so complicated... all starts from typing -toolbar in the command line, and then browsing inside the new window. By checking the options of your workspace then you should be able to go to the ''Drafting & Annotation'' workspace and all will work as this video shows. Unfortunately there is no clear step by step page that describes it, neither I do remember how I did it..
Thank you again. As you suggest, it seems that my setup has the same features, just organized a bit differently. I won't worry about it or try change the workspace for now. I've too much to learn at the moment....changing from acad 2003 to 2014 in one jump... lot of catching up to do!!
DougSimonARCH Haha well that is a very *huge* jump o_o'' Well in that case do stick with your classic workspace - it is closer to the older versions of ACAD

I love all of the options available to create and redesign objects! Thanks for the great details you are demonstrating!
Really good step by step tutorials touching every important aspects of controlling the AutoCAD program. Thank you for sharing.

It takes you maybe one year mininum to learn it fine. Experience is the teacher there, not surely a 15-mins video..
