I can confirm that you cannot activate a global Helldivers 2 game key in a delisted country. My method: 1. Create a secondary Steam account while connecting to Steam through the VPN from a country that's allowed (in my case it's Singapore) 2. Activate the game using the key you obtained from a shady game key website of your choice. 3. Buy any cheap game for the secondary account using your country's payment method to move the secondary account to your country. (I just bought Postal 2 for a dollar while it's on a 90% discount; you can find a different dirt cheap game) 4. Create a Steam family and add both the primary and the secondary accounts to that family. 5. You can now play Helldivers from your main account through family sharing.
I recently moved to Egypt, and I bought the game in the US when I used to live there, and now when I try to play I literally can’t join anyone, (friends included) I managed to join one team like 3 weeks ago when I was told to download cloud fare warp which it did work, but now I can’t join anyone but play solo
Personally I've never had any difficulty with independently-obtained CD keys, just gotta get them from a trustworthy site - and i highly doubt steam would ban someone for gifting a game to someone else. They shouldn't be able to ban someone for activating a global steam key, otherwise it wouldn't be a global key and would be falsely advertised... but there is another concern I have now... also, there is a way around this concern as well if you'd feel more comfortable: make a second steam account, gift the key to the new account, and use family sharing to access the game from the account you play on normally. However, that all said, there is another problem that seems to have cropped up... I posted the video on the helldivers2 subreddit and another sub that was dedicated to HD2, and they got in the neighborhood of like ten upvotes... I think I waited too long looking around for people to conduct the test... perhaps I should have just rushed to push this video out 6 weeks ago before the escalation of freedom disaster patch and people would've been interested, but there's a LOT of anger towards HD2 now.. one would think a video about bypassing the region lock and showcasing how would spread around pretty quickly, but I think people are so jaded with arrowhead at the moment that perhaps there's just the issue of very limited interest =/

was this on steam or was this on PSN? If it's on steam most of those keys are supposed to be global

Any update on this? in theory it will work but then again steam might ban you, though havent try it yet and not risking it...
