I’m a kids pastor, but I’m starting to teach the adults occasionally on Sunday nights. This is the Bible that I use when teaching adults. The print is big enough to see from the pulpit, and is a good word for word translation.
Keep up the good work with the videos.

I have this Bible with a genuine leather cover, which is a definite step up for not much more money. I agree that the two issues that hold this Bible back somewhat are the ghosting issue and the ribbon - singular. A Bible this size should have at least two, and preferably three wider and longer ribbons. Excellent review!

Thanks, Mike! Your right, another $10 or so and people can get the genuine leather, which would be an upgrade. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great review. The ghosting in it is the main issue. I hope that with the 2020 update there will be a higher quality printing that comes along with it. Line matching would certainly help. My giant print personal size edition by Zondervan has excellent print quality in it. But do I love the layout of this Bible.

I totally agree. Layout is great, but ghosting is the main problem. From what I have seen Zondervan is going to be coming out with some new editions in 2020, like this one here: www.christianbook.com/nasb-comfort-thinline-letter-edition-leather/9780310450931/pd/450932?event=ESRCG
And even an NASB Preachers Bible is due in the Premier Collection. Pretty cool!

A Frisch Perspective I am looking very forward to those new editions from Zondervan. They will be nice! All of Zondervan’s and Nelson’s new editions have been excellent.

If their 2020 LPUT is any indication, it is the same exact paper. (Sad face)

Hey Bro. I was looking for a single or side column, after decades of double column. Primarily I have used the NKJV large print ultrathin, unfortunately the print has been getting smaller and smaller. I've tried many double column bibles but have come to the realization that I need a double column in order to read for at least an hour or more. So it was a toss up between the Zondervan single column or the Foundation's edition. I went with the genuine leather (even though my actual budget is a leather text). I actually am starting to love this bible, working from NKJV, some ESV and others. I am new to the NASB.(well, full time anyway). None of the issue's like the bleed through, the blue hue in the pages and gutter bother me. I've seen other reviews a part from yours, some, not all reviewers make an issue of the ghosting and the hue color. Your right, if you stick to the text it's not an issue. I think maybe people make too much of an issue with the see through, I've seen a lot of bibles reviewed and even the high end ones have see through. I use colored pencils and 01 microns and everything works for me. So thanks bro. Your review helped me pick the Foundation SCR even though I picked the genuine leather I feel I made the right decision. Especially since yesterday I just happened to stumble onto a Barns & Noble, and they had the Zonderman SCR. Once I had it in my hands and actually saw the type and layout of the bible, I knew right there that there was no regrets of not buying what some would thing was a better bible (the leather soft one anyways). That bible to me could not beat the 11 point dark font and the layout to me is far better than the Zondervan. Oh yeah, the ribbon was really cheap, but no worries, I put a really nice one in. I'm sure glad I wasn't spoiled on the high end bible, because I am love just about everything about it. Is it the one? No, but it sure does fill the billet for me, and it is breaking in nicely. For me, it's a great bible.

I think I like this format in that BOTH verses AND references are readable. But I have a giant print in NASB 95 and 2020. I got a NASB Quentel from evangelical bible and it arrived damaged and they were NOT very nice. About replacing it. For $205 I WOULD HAVE expected more than service with a sneer. Another win for Amazon.

    Frank Logsdon Denounces New American
    Standard Version (Transcript) Co Author
"I must under God denounce every attachment to the New American Standard Version. I'm afraid I'm in trouble with the Lord...We laid the groundwork; I wrote the format; I helped interview some of the translators; I sat with the translator; I wrote the preface. When you see the preface to the New American Standard, those are my words...it's wrong, it's terribly wrong; it's frightfully wrong...I'm in trouble;...I can no longer ignore these criticisms I am hearing and I can't refute them. The deletions are absolutely frightening...there are so many. The finest leaders that we have today haven't gone into it [new versions of Wescott and Hort's corrupted Greek text] just as I hadn't gone into it...that's how easily one can be deceived...Are we so naive that we do not suspect Satanic deception in all of this?"

Frank Logsdon was a major player in the development of the New American Standard Bible (NASB). He was a friend of Dewey Lockman, and was involved in a feasibility study involving purchasing the copyright of the American Standard Version (ASV) with Lockman that lead to the eventual production of the NASB. He interviewed some of the translators for the job, and even wrote the preface to the translation.
Slowly, he became aware that there was something wrong with the NASB. He eventually rejected it, and promoted the KJV. This was a major defection for the modern version crowd
Below is his speech, in it's entirety, rejecting the NASB, and endorsing the Textus Receptus and the KJV. (The complete transcript is available here)
