Be sure to apply for every bit of financial aid. Go to the financial aid office and they can show you scholarships and other grants, etc. avoid as much debt as possible!! ❤❤

Aleks, I have no idea how I missed your livestream yesterday?! However, I am so happy to see you fullfilling your dream! You have great things coming to you in the future. Hope your employer does not give you hard time accommodating your schedule, so you can attend your classes. If not, don't hesitate to quit and find someone who will pay you more. Did you know that you can apply to become a Preschool Teacher Assistant? Just use your degree from Russia and current University enrollment in your resume. You will make more money, have a rewarding job, and start building your teaching career. Early Childhood Educators are needed all over the country! Hugs,
    ❤️ Monika

Aleks I have been following your videos since you first left Russia. To see your hopes and dreams realized symbolically by that little University of Houston card makes my heart glad. It is about the best Christmas gift ever. Congratulations. I am sure you will make the University proud both as a student and as an alumnus. I will celebrate my 90th birthday in seven days. Your success I consider a birthday gift of which I could wish no better.

Go see if you can get a job at Costco... they pay 18 per hour. Heck, even Target pays 15 per hour. 8 per hour is robbery imo... not even close to a living wage, even if you have multiple roommates. I hope loyalty isn't a reason you stay ( since they gave you your first job). This is business to them and will never have your best interest in mind. They take advantage of you by paying such a low wage and this shows they're not not an ethical company.

$8 an hour and works as a contractor? Does that mean you still must deduct all your taxes? Are you sure you're in the USA? That's a Texas thing @ $ 7.25. I agree about a Costco job.

Sounds like you are being given transfer credit for some of your Russian courses in the sciences and math.

Congratulations Aleks! I’ve been subscribed since you left Russia and stopped to see Konstantine. I haven’t had time to watch lately, but stay subscribed because I care what happens with you. I know you will do well, and will be supported by teachers and other students, as well as your subscribers!
