    Nice vid on the lipo comparison with the V2 Big B. Great to see it out again and would love to see how the XLX2 would pan out in it with set ups only you would think of! 🙂

    Yes sir, yes sir...I have the ZTW 200A and use a 5200 mah ovonic 6s brick with 4519 prop ..like I said it's pretty consistent at 75 ..next spring gonna go 8s..I'd like to see that castle in it...great video B...

    Nice run! Love to see you push this boat more. What prop is that? You should put the Castle Hydra esc in it and see what it does brother.

    Interesting comparison. Looks like the CNHL is no slouch but clearly a difference. Would the C rating have made a difference to the speed of the CNHL runs vs SMC ? Glad you checked the voltage at the end. I was on SMC's website last nigh and noticed they are able to custom make LiPo's.
    It appears they can make 8s single packs !? I haven't asked customer service if thats a definite but what do you think about a 8s single pack ?

      I know you need an 8s capable charger to charge a single 8s pack. Should be the same performance as a 4s2p setup

      @@IRONCLADRC argh okay 👍
      I was just thinking for convenience sake and placing the battery in the keel and all that. I like the idea of a single pack 8s. Didn’t realise about the charger 🙄

    5:12 yes put the xlxs in . I want to see the SonicWake fly. Batteries make a tremendous difference, especially in this boat. I like the heated battery bag idea, you’re getting all scientific on us bro

    Why do you want a warm battery going into the boat. Do you do this in the summer also. Or is it because batteries don't perform well when cold. What do you like about test battery.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  2 роки тому

      No I've only recently started warming battery's due to the cooler weather, really just testing a theory I have.. Not necessary

    how many charge cycles you have on that cnhl by now? i know you were doing SW videos almost daily for a while! Whats price difference right now? Got to get two new of each to do a good comparison!

      Definitely more than the smc battery, she still charged to 4.20 per cell on all the cells.

    It's easier to see the performance differences when running on a ragged edge. bigger prop, higher voltage, more speed, more current draw. A poorer quality battery will have a larger voltage drop when under high load. XLX2 has great data logging that will show voltage drop during runs. As well as other interesting metrics like current draw, esc temperature, motor speed.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  2 роки тому

      I'm definitely running the "ragged edge " on this setup with that 45mm abc prop

    Hell yeah bump up the esc, sure wish proboat horizon would hook you up with a impulse 32 no self right feature but off the hook fast. I'll be waiting for spring up here in michigan maybe one last fall run bu high 30s mid 40s brrrrrt I'm about done onto to the crawlers, peace and keep running them boats

    Xlx won't bring much when setup stays the same. Tried x8s in my mono instead of T180. Maybe if you pushed it more to its limits it helps, but then something else probably gets (too) hot...

    Dont matter but you ever gonna get you a black hatch or could you show how to paint that one black,wanting to paint my bj 24 black but not sure how poly takes paint. Anyway peace

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  2 роки тому

      I like the white hatch doesn't bother me. Getting paint to permanently stick to poly is tough. I think the blackjack 24 is constructed of abs slightly different than poly
