Party battle lines drawn up as general election date set for July 4

- Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer are set to go head to head in the general election on July 4.
It comes after the PM announced in the pouring rain, outside 10 Downing Street, the country was going to the polls.
Campaigning will officially begin, next week on 31 May as politicians go up and down the UK.

Greens, Lib Dems and SNP have signalled previously they would agree to support a Labour coalition government in a hung parliament so likely that. In the incredibly unlikely scenario that every undecided voter swings to the right and joins reform, likely a CON/REF/DUP coalition.
Based off recent results the latter is a fever dream scenario.

It is, of course a complete coincidence that the election happens to be quite early so all the A level students (the youngest voters who will most likely vote Labour) will be off celebrating (probably not thinking about elections, and definitely not doing deep research into the parties.)
