I love to watch you stitch. Its so beautiful. I am participating in this years SAL with HAED and I only got the 4 pages done to get all 10 charts but i wont get the two of my choice because I wont finish in time. I will finish but I doubt will be the whole thing by the deadline. Im ok with that though. And I am participating in the SAL for 2025. Im doing the Drinks on the Beach. It is so many beautiful colors and I cant wait!! I dont like driving in the snow and ice. I am no good at it because I had a few traumatic incidents that scared me quite badly. So at all cost I avoid it if I can. I just panic when people get to close or are driving too fast for the conditions. I would love to stitch mostly by natural light but I dont have a good spot to do so. It is better than artificial lighting especially with dark colors. I am doing a HAED that is mostly dark blues and purples and I dont stitch on it as much as I did when my husband was doing therapy sessions. I would take my stitching and it was a spot that I had so much sunlight until the stitching was so very easy to see. I stitch on that one from time to time but not 3 times a week or more like I used to. I just had to tie off some threads with my SAL because I knew one thread was in the wrong place but I couldnt tell it and another couple apart because they were so close. I tied them off and started over. I tried to compare with what I thought they were but it was just too close and I didnt want to continue stitching with it.
I have used plenty of blended colours. I had a pattern which used 2 strands of orange colours which were just too bright, so I used 1 orange thread and one red thread just to mute the colours a little. I just begin with a tail start and have no problem with them at all.

I made the same mistake with white dmc on a HAED recently. Glad it wasn’t that many stitches to redo.
