Congratulations mate, massive achievement! I've made videos on the changes from A-Level to university which revolve around my experience at UoN. I'd recommend watching my university module choices video, 5 biggest changes from A-Level to university video and the importance of Maths in an Economics degree video. In those videos, I go into detail about what came as a surprise when I started my Economics degree at the Nottingham. Sorry for the shameless plug! But to quickly summarise it, the style of learning (lectures + tutorials) revolves a lot more around independent study than A-Level where teachers play a far greater role in your understanding of the content. The workload increases because of this. Also, there's a lot of Maths integrated into degree, far more than I thought there would. If you've done Maths at A-Level you should be fine, but if you haven't you might have to dedicate some time understanding the theory they teach, in both the Maths module and the other Econ modules you pick. Hard to explain it in detail, but hopefully that was a bit helpful! All the best for September!
To my understanding, you can register for adjustment and look for an alternative course within 5 days of registering. But if you don't manage to get the adjustment you want and the time period ends, your original offer still stands. Double check the web pages I've linked in the description.
“thank you for this video! Really enjoyed it! I’m sure you will like our video, too, about the alevels, how to get top grades and why so many people got A*s this year..
