I come here after listening to Sam Smith new album. To me Sam's voice always touches the deepest souls. On the first listen, I'm still with Sam. But then realizing Celine must be missing her late husband so much when singing this song. I'm crying.
in Sam's version I've always thought about it like a break up song, but in Celine's version it becomes so much more tragic

Everytime I hear Celine sing this song I always end up choking in tears. This song has so many meanings, whether it's losing a loved one to death or just losing that someone important to you to due to something else. I'm reminded of the young love I had for my ex-husband and how the love we had for the past years just faded and died, and at the end of it all we both went our separate ways but the memories remain.
Her tune is so inspiring 💞, it also makes me flash back at my past memories with my late wife. She will always remain a legend.
You know when I'm mad at my boyfriend, then I listen to this song, my hatred goes away, thinking how hard it is to lose someone you love so much. Instead of spending your time in anger, just live to love. I can just imagine the hurt in Celine's heart. But I'm glad she's surrounded by lovely people who love her so much.

Late March, 2023. In my bed, it's dark outside illuminated by the Melbourne skyline and Ms Dion"s voice is extraordinary - a force of nature and I'm not even a fan.
In the still and dark of my bedroom her voice is mesmerising; I read about her recently diagnosed cancer and the Courage album we was mentioned.
So ... the playlist of Courage plays into the early morning and I am touched by the unfolding tragedy of Celine's fate far away overseas.
I love the purity of her music. The genuinitity of the lyric makes this experience relatable.
On repeat on my Playlist, if you've ever lose someone that matters to you, there's no way drops of tears won't slip from your eyes...
