    Shelbys work rate and drive for youtube is a major inspiration to me.. even though she had a jaw surgery she didn’t use it as an excuse to take a “break” she literally pre-recorded audio instead and is still vlogging🤯.. if i ever become successful with UA-cam i will always remember Shelby as a motivation

    Legitimately curious about how the blender cupcake tasted

  • @petemiller2598

    If you are curious, the swelling is because the body is increasing blood supply to the area dramatically to begin repairing your jawbone, as well as trying to eliminate much of the waste products and tissue damaged from the surgery. Most of the swelling is the lymphatic system being overloaded with the amount of waste products needing to be drained. It’ll be under control before too long. It always helps me to know the reason behind it!

    • @yehhshhs
      @yehhshhs 3 роки тому

      So will it help if she does some lymph drainage movements from her ear to her collarbone? Will the swelling go away faster?

    • @petemiller2598
      @petemiller2598 3 роки тому +2

      @@yehhshhs Maybe, but the lymphatic system has its own mechanisms for moving fluid, and it probably would not be worth the discomfort for her to do any massage like that. I know she was in a ton of pain (she is healed now, so we are speaking retroactively). So at the time, the best thing was probably to just wait. But theoretically, yes you could massage the tissue and "help" the drainage along, if the pain could be tolerated.

    You are INCREDIBLY brave and strong not only for doing this surgery, but for also documenting it along every step. I am sure these videos are going to help so many people when they have to do this procedure or anything like it. I have lived with very painful TMJ for most of my life. So I cant even imagine all of the pain you are undertaking. You are so STRONG! Take care, I wish you a speedy and healthy recovery.

    Girl, I've had this surgery. I can empathize whole heartedly. When I had it, social media wasn't a thing and I couldn't bare to look at myself in the mirror. I didn't even have my parents take "after" photos of me because I didn't want to see. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Thinking of you and praying for a swift recovery!

      @@alexwyler4570 you're so right about addiction; however, her dr knows what she'll need, & as long as a dr isn't over-prescribing, you'll be fine. Pain is tricky - I've had severe polyneuropathy for 10 yrs, & have taken everything! The key is to only take what will kill the pain, & no more! Ppl in real pain don't feel high, bc the drug us working. Taking too much causes the high that becomes addictive. Shelby has a good head in her shoulders, & she'll ween off just fine, I'm sure! And, her attitude is right - switch to non-narcotic tylenol or ibuprofen as soon as possible!

    "THIS TOO SHALL PASS"
    Don't be be discouraged or scared by the swelling. I can already see an improvement just by the way your lips 💋 are sitting. Lower lip is farther back than it was before, looking "more natural" (as in you having a more natural bite, NOT that you looked bad before, you're a beautiful lady!) and looks like an indication that it will be MUCH better than the way your teeth were hitting. Wishing you a quick and easy recovery! 🙏 ☺

    I have to say, I had no idea you existed until a few weeks ago. Upon the initial exposure, you just have a pleasant disposition and a really relaxed delivery so I subscribed. Saw many interesting videos. Then I came across what I can say is one of the most impactful journeys I've seen on UA-cam. You made yourself SO vulnerable and your expression about your PERSONAL life has been immensely compelling. Like, I want to check up on you! Lol. I've always thought your were gorgeous and smart af and honestly, your smile is what I thought to be your best and most unique aspect. That aspect takes on another life when what is "good" to an external person yet it's a constant burden to themselves. Anyway, I digress. I'm following your progression and hope you get to the place you want to be. I never write shit like this but I felt compelled to put some positive vibes in your area and hope to see you happier than you've been previously. Get well! I will SLAPP LIKE!

    the swelling gives me dog who ate a bee vibes. this recovery looks tough :( wishing you a speedy recovery. I had my tonsils taken out a few years back when I was 18 for recurring tonsillitis and the recovery for that was incredibly painful (I was on a liquid diet for like a week too), so I can only imagine what you are going through. it's been over 5 years and I've had like one or two sore throats since so it was totally worth it. hope this surgery is worth it as well!

It’s best to stay on pain killers until you hardly feel the pain as your body is going through enough trauma as it is and needs the rest and energy to focus on healing itself.
