@@BootsORiley funny you should reply now. Been meaning to ask ya, is tunes to tube the best way to upload audio to YT? Can you do longer audio files? I’ve been adding mp3 files together in imovie and adding a still image then exporting as mp4. The file ends up being like 7gb Then once I get that done the upload/processing can take up to an hour. I’m sure there’s an easier way.
@@usernamewaster sorry Bama, I’m only just now seeing this comment by chance. I realized My notification settings weren’t allowing me to see most of the comments. I’ll get back to this in a bit
@@usernamewaster I highly doubt that it is the best way to upload to YT. I’m sure you’ve found a good method of uploading big/long files by now. I’m so fuckin dumb that I couldn’t figure out how to upload an mp3 with a picture with the YT uploader, so I tried with t2YT and it was simple enough for a smooth brain like me, so I’ve stuck with it. I hadn’t planned on uploading full Playlists when I began uploading my favorite jams. That happened when I started getting comments from pissed off Biscuits fans asking why I didn’t upload such and such from the same show. Or if I uploaded Shimmy > Shanker, I’d get complaints that the Shanker wasn’t uploaded, too. Shit like that. To appease those types of viewers, and after realizing nobody was uploading full Playlists of shows, I decided to get 2 birds stoned at once and carve out a place for myself in the community and help out those who can’t afford a Nugs subscription or can’t afford to buy soundboard recordings of shows they want/need to hear
Did you hear Umphrey's Mcgee play Disco Biscuits at their Transgression Festival at Copper Mountain, CO on 7.14.07 and 7.15.07? Absolutely phenomenal Orch theme cover by them. I think this is the only time Umphrey's Mcgee played an entire set of just Disco Biscuit songs, and they NAILED it at this show. Here are the Disco Biscuits songs they played (mixed in with a few Umphrey's songs in the beginning and end): Resolution, Svenghali, Gangster->Helicopters->Orch Theme, Der Bluten Kat->Mulche's Odyssey->Der Bluten Kat. You should definitely check it out - I think it's the only time Umphrey's covered Disco Biscuits, and they took it SERIOUS, very, very good covers. The Gangster->Helicopters->Orch Theme is pretty serious...
@ 7:03 i love when Aron plays improvised melodies over composition, like this example. he doesn't do it very often, but when he does, it's truly awesome
@@rachelschools6276 type I is more like soloing over the song’s chord progression. If you can tell what song they are jamming out of during the jam, then it’s type I

Thanks Drew. Still trying to be a better person than i was the previous day. You know how that goes though when you're really hard on yourself. just really great stuff man. i've only gotten through Harnonick Analog Realizations, but i'm definitely gunna be checking out more. thanks for the recommendation, homie!

yeah, you can pretty much throw a dart at any 2009 show, and the chances of you being letdown are pretty low. This Tuscaloosa show you were jamming to is very solid. i especially love set II. And obviously i'm a massive fan of this here -> Orch -> June '09 also slaps through and through
Part of the magic of 2009 Biscuits... On-the-fly improv is so catchy that it sounds like a composed song. So many little sections of '09 jams are earworms.
If this or 12/27/08 is not the GOAT, then what is? The only other contender is the broken up 12/31/06, and this version smokes it on the strength of Magner alone pulling octopus duty
Dirtier than a pressie found on the floor of a truck stop bathroom.
LOL
agreed!

You can tell Magner was feeling it this night. He's barely playing any of the composed sections here without some flair. Talk about on it
second set he really comes alive! like a lightswitch being flipped ON
what is that around 12:00? I know it but it's not iman is it?
it's not iman. i always thought it's just a nice melody in the jam, i never considered that it could be a tease of some other artist's song.
