You forgot to congratulate the United States for starting the renewal of the Japanese steel industry. It really was the only option they had since just about everything was flat by the end of the war.

That can't be done when it's hot enough to be pliable.
I have a question. After the steel is melted they take a sample for analysis. If the composition turns out to be off, how to rectify the current batch?

How do they know the composition of the initial scrap and subsequent metal? I mean, if the initial scrap pile has more, I don't know molybdenum or vanadium and the target steel grade needs less? What does happen then? I'm sorry if it's a stupid question, just curious.

I honestly think they know what they are doing, and if efficiencies could be gained that easy then they would be doing it. Agree?

危険な作業を経験しましたし、人がトピードカー「混銑車」(こんせんしゃ)などに落ちて亡くなったと聞いたことがあります。😅以前クレーンマンが操作を間違えて熱々の釜をひっくり返して大事故になったのを何かで見た。😵
鋼板の切断する仕事をしてましたが、オフィースビルが増えて会社が移転すると同時に辞めました。

5分過ぎの成分検査でヤバイ数字が数年に一度 高炉を持っている製鉄所ではあります 溶けた鉄に人が落ちた場合すぐわかるそうです すぐ点呼取ったり勤務交代後だと家に帰っているか安否確認があるそうです
