- A demonstration of how to show that the Normal (Gaussian) distribution is a member of the exponential family of distributions.
These short videos work through mathematical details used in the Multivariate Statistical Modelling module at UWE.
this is simple, straightforward and easy to understand, walked me straight through the steps of deriving exponential family for a Normal distribution, thank you so much!
you are really good. thank you. I have no idea how your channel is not the highest recommended. you are a great teacher!!
Grazie mille, mi hai risparmiato una domenica a fare esercizi!
You are amazing at teaching! Thank you so much!!
Found this really useful thanks
great video, thank you!
Wow thanks
That was a comprehensive walk-through. I think you made a mistake, using the binomial formulas, because (x-mu)^2 = x^2 - 2x mu + mu^2, you wrote (x-mu)^2 = x^2 + 2x mu - mu^2
Lorenz Rumberger You are clearly wrong, she's right. You did not consider that there's a negative sign just outside the bracket. That affects everything
