I love this song so much it's so sad, happy, romantic, magical, peacful and depressing and it's all in one song, I honestly don't know how they did it.
This song is touching. If you watched the movie, maybe you felt the same 'strange' feeling about something is gone. That thing you've been wishing for so long... The true to accept the past but the sadness that it has when you are there, thinking.
I had just logged onto Netflix as the credits were rolling and was set to give Prince Caspian three stars when this song came on. I had to jack up my rating to four after hearing this gem. Love it.
This is decidedly the most beautiful song I've ever heard in my life. There's just one thing: I don't think sad songs like this fit Narnia. I mean, Narnia is all about adventure and excitement. This song made me cry, Narnia didn't and never will.
I believe Narnia is also about letting go childhood. Having a world of your own and letting it go in order to continue a new chapter. But you might go back every now and then. And when you are back you are again young and free seeing places you remember but are kinda blurred, although the feeling remains.
@@pastelitoseco Besides it fits perfectly well with this movie because Susan and Peter aren't coming back to Narnia and they'll only have the memories. Well, that is until Susan stops believing
IMAGINE THIS SONG PLAYING IN YOUR HEAD. I'TS COLD, SUNNY OF WINDY. THOUGHT NOW CAME THROUGH IN YOUR HEAD. THINKING ABOUT THE LOSS OF YOUR LOVED ONES OR YOUR PAST, OR BOTH! . THEN YOU LOOK UP AND SEE THE SUNNY SKIES. THIS IS THE SONG FOR THAT MOMENT
I first saw Prince Caspian in 2010; it was the year i graduated high school, and that last summer with my old friends before i headed off to school was one of the best times I've ever had in my life. Whenever i wasn't hanging out with them, this was the song that would play in my head. Life's been great since then (for the most part), but wow...i just cant believe it's already been nearly four years. Everything, starting from 2008, to the multiple years at camp, to the birthdays, to prom, to the final summer & King's Island, to me leaving...nostalgia, and this is the song i pin to it all. Thank you, Oren Lavie.
Well, its been 11 years since then (7 years since your comment), how is life for you now? I know how it feels to leave old friends and classmates, it's a sad experience, but life is still good in other ways. Those old times... I'll never forget them, at least I hope I won't 🥲
SAD, HAPPY, EMOTIONAL, HEARTBREAKING, SCARY YET ADVENTUROUS, DEATH,HEARTWARMING DEPRESSING, GLORIOUS,DANGEROUS AND SOOTHINGLY CALM IN ONE MUSIC. OH AND KID FRIENDLY! MOSTLY IT IS A NOSTALGIC MIX OF MAYBE CLASSIC OR 70'S, 80'S OR 90'S AND MEDIEVAL SYMPHONY, CHRISTMASY LIKE! IF U LISTEN PROPERLY!
I think this song fits the concept of Narnia so well. Remembering Narnia, a whole life ago, and trying not to forget it as well as feeling out of place with those memories.
If you have read all the Chronicles of Narnia, you know When the professor from Lion, Witch & Wardrobe was a young boy - he took the first trip - but before he got to Narnia, he appeared first in the still woods, surrounded by only trees and small ponds. That’s where this song takes me.
One of the best songs to ever grace a film soundtrack. Prince Caspian had some genius songs in the credits. This, the Call and This Is Home are fantastic.
I've always thought of this song was from Caspian's perspective, made for Susan. Of the thoughts he had after she was gone. "Winters have come and gone" feels like even though she told him, she wont be back...he was still longing for her. "Words we have said, grew in my head" could be him replaying the conversations they had had, again and again. "But I'll miss you young and free" just like the way she left and the way he will always remember her😭 ....
This is a song for Susan Pevensie. “Lost memories…” “But I'll miss you young and free For a dance round the memory tree” “Said I forgot But I did not Dreams we have had Play in my head” Susan shouldn’t have ever been left behind.
Words we have said Grew in my head Colored my thoughts Sang me to bed Lost memories Grew into trees Covered the doors Swallowed the keys Winters have come and gone You know Winters have come and gone You know But I'll meet you young and free For a dance 'round the memory tree Said I forgot But I did not Dreams we have had Play in my head Did we believe The cry of the leaves? Did we regret? Would we forget? Yep. I can't disagree with any of that. Seriously one of my favorite Narnian songs and certainly my favorite to listen to when just kinda dozing, letting my mind wander, and allowing my imagination to run free.
This song is so beautiful despite being 10 years old I remember watching this a while back and just thinking about how much time has passed which is sad in a way
Words cannot describe my love for Narnia.. This song takes me back to my first reading of these wonderful books, watching the films (only LWW & PC), listening to the magical score and travelling to the London premieres to meet the Cast my childhood heroes :) Long live Aslan! Long live Narnia!
i sat in a tree and remember stuff for hours, listening to this song..... i think this song is not about a tree that has your past memorys, but can hold new ones too

I absolutely am in love with this song. I had watched this movie several times before hearing this song but one day after watching it on tv I didn't change the channel and i let the end credits play and I'm so happy I did. I heard this so song and fell in love.
I grew up too soon that i started to read or watch fairytales again, Narnia is the only childhood movie that hit me and listening to this gives me a nostalgic feeling, a hiraeth
When I heard this during the ending credits of Prince of Caspian, I promise my soul was touched.

Rainy Autumn It’s only sad-sounding because it’s at the very end of the movie.
The Chronicles of Narnia is a World-War-II Era book series; it's bound to have sorrow and nostalgia attached to it.
