Was at a show just like this for Ozzfest in 2001. The absurd amount of money would be totally worth it.

At 3:26 you can see corey running off stage with his mask off. You cant see it here, but theres another angle of the show that shows him losing his mask during a headbang.

I remember that happening. I just saw this posted on here n I knew this was the show it happened at n during the beginning of the set. So awesome
I graduated high school that year, I was 18 at the time. I'm 36 now.
I saw them at Ozzfest. They were the opening band, so they had to setup and take down their own gear. I noticed that the bass player was a fellow lefty. So when they started playing in their masks and jumpsuits I wasn't expecting that. We tried to figured out who played what instrument by body type. I was in the 3rd row and they were getting the crowd wound up. So we started giving them a hard time back. The next thing I know the singer and the guy beating on the kegs with a clown mask on were spitting and throwing water bottles on/at us. Good times were had by all.

The Iowa era always blows me away. How was he able to sound so brutal and exactly like the album for EVERY SHOW during that period?? It’s superhuman, or maybe supernatural...

Exactly for that reason he started to have problems with his voice. Actually, he was destroying his voice, you can hear it in every concert in that era. Sounds brutal, crushing and heavy but that was bad for himself, plus a lot of alcohol and cigarettes. The same happened in the Stone Sour album.

Corey went all out during these times with little to no regard and he's very lucky to still have a voice these days

This was my exact experience seeing the culture that was Slipknot in 2001 at the Detroit area Ozzfest. They WERE PISSED and I didn’t quite get it until I experienced their albums with multiple listens. I since look back fondly being 17 and thinking what the fuck did I just witness. The final major experience for me in the pre-9/11 world...

Morbid Apple got the mask already, it’s fucking SIC and I paid way extra to have myself bumped up the list so I could get it faster. It’s whatever. The jumpsuit is next. Like 180, because I want the all black jumpsuit with ridges on the sleeves and whatnot.

Love all of slipknots albums but I "Iowa" is one of my favourites. I was only 4 months old when this show was on and I didn't even know Slipknot until the "all hope is gone" album had been out for 4 or 5 years. When "all hope is gone" came out I was listening to AC/DC and Iron Maiden

If you notice Corey wasn’t I’m visible sight at the beginning of People = Shit because his mask flew off during the opening riff. I believe you can see him faintly running off stage.

Seeing them then Manson and obviously Black Sabbath made this a really fun show. I remember the Sky going gray about 10 minutes before Slipknot went on really set the mood for the rest of the night. Every time I go to this venue I always think back to this night and the previous Ozzfest where I saw Pantera. Thanks for posting this.

There's countless footage certain people know about that's out there but won't see the light of day accept for a small group of people. Like Rock am ring 2000 there's two or the versions of it with a few cut songs and 3 maybe 5 full songs
