- Hi Friends & Family! Thank you for watching our fun SHOP ALONG video at DULUTH ANTIQUE MARKETPLACE, located in West Duluth, Minnesota, by the Port of Duluth-Superior. This is a large multi-dealer mall on two levels. They carry both antiques and some new items--a great mix for the whole family! It’s bright, cheerful, and clean. We had great fun and found many wonderful MCM things to bring home!

We've always enjoyed thrifting for our vintage MCM furniture, lighting, dishes, and accessories to use and decorate our home since 2005. Our home is constantly changing as we find more fun vintage items at antique and thrift stores in MN and WI. Hi Patty! Sorry, but I have no idea what you may have written earlier. I didn't see a comment from you that sounded like that. I certainly respect your opinion. Many will agree with you about having too much. I have a lot of guilt regarding my love of mostly thrifting and sometimes splurging on vintage things. I've often wanted to talk about it in a video but keep forgetting. I'm not addicted to things, I'm driven by my need to be creative, and decorating is a big part of my life-long personality to do creative things. I've loved gardening and beading in the past decades, but I now have terrible hand and finger pain. I can't do them anymore, as well as playing my piano. I spent my first adult years crafting and painting and making plastic canvas things. I have an appointment in July with a hand surgeon because of months of pain. The only thing I can barely do now is decorate, dusting and edit my videos. I am at least earning some grocery money.
All of my purchases are saleable, unlike buying trips, cruises, golfing, gambling, eating out, getting my nails, and hair done, etc. etc.
I know how to sell on eBay for 28 years. We could rent a booth in an antique mall when I decide to stop YT videos. People are never critized for spending money on entertainment or sports or travel, etc. but always for thrifting at nonprofits, church stores, and always rounding up. We've given 100s of bags of vintage expensive things back to the thrift stores rather than selling them again. I hope that's enough explanation to redeem my addiction to find cheap old things to entertain and inspire all our viewers. Thanks for watching and writing today. I didn't see your previous comment. Hi Judith! Thanks so much for watching our video today! Yes, there are several, but we only could book June reservations for 2 nights last Sun/Mon. Many smaller shops aren't open until Thursday or the weekend. There was another good size one that wasn't open either that is a little NW of Duluth in Hermantown. But we certainly filled our 2 days with shopping at this place and down in Canal Park at Father Time. We were tired out (usually from not sleeping well and being poor travelers). We always enjoy seeing the boat traffic in the canal. It's hard to spend the cost of that nice room with that view during peak season. We didn't get up there last year because of my brother's needs. Thanks again for your kind messages and we wish you a blessed summer!
