I have a company VOIP that I use, but very limited for accessories. Can I add another new voip phone, therefore I can use accessories like wireless headsets and others. but answer and call out from it instead of the company one.. but have them both ring, etc... I work remotely, and they sent me the voip desk phone
Hmm, that all depends on how your setup is "set up", meaning if you ran say 2 mobile apps on the same IP phone or computer, i'm not sure how your headset or accessories would handle which to answer and when. That's really a question for the provider in question's technical support.
If it's a desk phone, YES, as long as you can plug the 2 separate desk phones in separately, yes they will act completely independently on the same network, respective to the 2 seperate VOIP providers, HOWEVER using the same say, bluetooth headset, on 2 different IP phones... I'm not sure how that will work well or if it would be efficient. Were it me, I'd get 2 headsets - IE. 1 separate for each respective IP phone. I hope that answers your question.
That is 100% absolutely NOT true at all. We've got LITERALLY hundreds of clients (contracts we personally sold) where a client has 2 or more devices/IP phones on the same extension. If you're theory is correct that defeats the ENTIRE purpose of VOIP, in that say a CEO of a small business for example can have a Cisco IP phone at his home office and another Poly cordless at his physical office that rings at the same time and contains the same voicemail. In short, that's not correct! Unless you are simply trolling, please do not spread false information on this channel like that. That is EXTREMELY misleading especially when millions of businesses are trying to find a way to work and be available in more than one place at a time without lugging equipment around.

Ringcentral does not allow 6 phones on the same extension. They allow one only.
