Four is basically one of my favourite male characters ever (and this is coming from a Whovian...) He's just so strong, yet gentle, so fair and right... one of the best things he ever said to Tris was that he admired her for who she was, not just her body. Is it just me, or is this theme just not generally shown enough? He's the kind of guy who would never do something he viewed as wrong, yet the kind of guy who you'd want to be on the right side of. I wish I could know him - I wish men these days would be more like him.
@Lydia D I agree. Distrusting at times, certainly has issues, but he is always eager to do what's right. And Yes on their relationship. I love them for how much neither of them is trying to dominate over the other, but they just walk beside each other and have complete and utter trust of each other - and if they do disagree they don't fight over it, they just show concern and might argue, but in the end... - Four is a great character, not because he's perfect, but because he's trying the best he possibly could and because he has a good sense of what's right and what's wrong (despite or maybe even because of how much his parents screwed with him...)

i love tobias i think that he is such a complex character with a very traumatizing backstory that really shaped him as a character he is unlike any other fictional boyfriend who tend to be all lovey dovey all the time however four is strong, closed off and feared by many however when he gets to know someone he is able to open up about his past etc and when he is with those people he completely changes to a caring gentle human being who would do anything for the people he loves. i think one of the most wholesome things he ever said was "You die, I die too." this just shows that he loved tris so much that he was willing to go to worlds end for her and thought that he would not be able to live without. (also i would just like to add i have seen this video that many times now that when i hear the song i can now picture the graphics from this video)

Why is it that Four, who's a great person and has traits from all five factions, is the one person in the whole series who has to have the crappiest parents? One beat him as a kid, the other f***ing abandons him, leaving him with the parent that hurts him, and then has the audacity to manipulate him into raising an army to destroy the faction system. Jeez, if I was him, I would've told them a long time ago to take a loong walk off a very short cliff. Having watched all three movies and read all four books multiple times, I can definitely say he's an amazing character and I love him. Theo James portrays him perfectly. The chemistry between him and Shailene as Tris is a bonus! I love both characters!

I absolutely love all three movies. i think they are all amazing! but the first one def has to be my favourite. insurgent and allegiant just looked a lot more "advanced" and the special effects were much better but I still adore them all. four is absolutely incredible in all the movies and he and tris are the best couple ever. i personally think they could've explained the "outsiders" a little more and not just introduce the box and all that super fast. I think they could've introduced every new thing in the second and third movie a little better but overall, the movies are spectacular and I love fourtris in every single movie.
the thing about Four is that he has a very linear idea of what right is and he will never waver. and he deserved so much more than what he got. I LOVE Tris but while she was trying to be brave, Four was running behind her, cleaning up her mess. She wanted to be brave but he just wanted to love her

The story of Tobias is about his dependence and obedience to God despite scary and uncertain situations. And about spiritually integrated sexuality that puts God first and does not make strangers or spouse's bodies objects to be used but souls to serve God with. That's what this video makes me think of. Obedience and dependence over personal desire or the desires of others.❤
