i dont think my NEW MARCH 2019 Bosch dishwasher has side mounting capabilities. In fact it came with this retro bracket.

Is it also better to put clear silicone adhesive on the bracket to stick under the granite countertop?

This bracket doesn't line-up with the Bosch dishwasher I have.....the clips are way to either side so are not in line with the pre-drilled holes on the bracket. However, the gap this bracket fills keeps the dishwasher from rocking forward, so not a total loss.

I got a generic bracket from the company that installed my granite, it worked perfectly with my Bosch dishwasher. It had holds all the way down

Just drill through the metal bracket anywhere you want with a metal bit.
