ఌ Hi guys! :D In this video, i'll try to help you defeat lunastra. We know how annoying is to kill lunastra... and to receive the temporal mantle we need to kill lunastra and teostra! :|
What items can help us complete this quest?
If you don't have many items, Fireproof Mantle is a good choice. You can also use fire resist.
Flash pods doesn't have the same effect, she won't fall.
Dragon weapons can also help you!
I'll show you how i defeated lunastra and teostra with my character rank 66. I don't here many items here but with these you can defeat both.

yeah straight up bullshit. As i charged true charge on down teostra, stupid lunastra jumps in. Or other way around.
Do they at least have lower health or something

Personally I liked it, didn't like lunastra spamming the fire breathing and explosion tho
I was having so much difficulty with Luna and I thought I 'm never gonna get that Temporal Mantle. Watched so many vids on the fight, but probably all are speed runners with master rank gears. Chanced upon your vid and saw your built, and I'm like, what?! You just provided me a glimpse of hope, very well done! Btw, I am also on the bow and about the same HR as you.

Dual blade type:dragon
Armor:fire resistant or xeno armor
Dont forget to bring bombs when they sleep
May I ask how Teostra didn't invade your battle with Lunastra? Teostra always invades me when I forst encounter Lunastra and the same goes when I first encounter Teostra.

I FINISH IT TODAY AFTER 34 MINS, I died many times using hammer or long sword cuz those are the only weapons I know how to use. I saw you using bow, legiana bow so ice element, I learn it a little yesterday and did the mission today, I killed those 2 fucks and I’m so happy.
Lunastra is legit a nightmare. I’m fine with her level of aggression for the most part, the thing that irritated me was I kept getting flinched every 5 seconds which makes it nearly impossible to avoid her next attack. She just spams attacks and sometimes it feels unavoidable. F for Lunastra she could’ve been so much better
I did not get this flame coat so this mission was trully pain in butt but i did it! That's a bit funny cz i made the weapon you're using for "last try" and first try after watching your video. I... Am bad at bow... BUT! It saved a lot of my potions and made me poke them safetly! After ~25 min - I am truly bad at bow - i changed for my main weapon, double blade? Twin blade? Not sure english name aaand poked them both enough so they went into their Arena. I thought it will be the hardest while they wont leave this anymore but i used your advice, out bombs between their head, shot it and back to the base when started to be dangerous. Then i did it again, got bombs, fast recall, went there, they are sleeping, megabombs between heads then back... 6 times xD IT WORKED! They always went back after i leave area so i killed them at the same time! You made me understand how bombs are powerful, thank ya!
Doing this solo is almost impossible. Unless you run dung master or high elder seal weapons to deny the chances of them bonding.
Also, idk if anyone else notices, but some large monsters kinda hint at there being an elder dragon of similar feat, in this case, i see rathian and rathalos’ team up hinting us at there being elder dragons that do the same rather than fighting each other, can’t say for sure if the same applies for legiana and shrieking.
If they given us 2 hours to take out them both that would be nice but 60 min is too little for two elder dragons with plus the amount of gear and jewels needed...
10 mins would be enough time to fight these two if executed properly but it's still a tall task for newer hunters. The hardest part about this mission is the fact that you have to fight two monsters that moves fast and hit hard at the same time. If you only need to take on one at a time, this would've been whole lot easier.
Also, lunastra and this quest was released sometime after the base game so a lot of people already had optimal gear for this fight. The reward for beating it is really worth the effort though.
I tried this today, and was moments away from killing Luna, as she was about to limp back to their den.

His blue flame atmosphere is super annoying, it burns through fireproof mantle and makes me feel I'm a dumpling
Btw u also need wind resistance cuz many attacks of lunastra is wibd based like the supernova shockwave im not entirely sure but i saw this in some vid
I beat her with giant jawblade great sword and fireproof mantle, in 7 tries😂 just now. My armor is only odogaron set 6 rarity, freeze elemental hurts her a lot, only 2 successful combos shes down and target her wings right away.
Hardest assignemnt so far, so exhausting with charge blade. Cant really hit their heads properly but I manage to land the SAED.

i tried this 5 times now, and both of them stick like glue.

Honestly 2nd the hardest quest yet, after making geralt mission for 100% (FREAKIN TIME LIMIT AND SUICIDE PUKEI PUKEI)
Wow , i just came here after i finished this ugly quest solo with axe- sword i gues and 490 defense build from the first time and take me 37 min, and i come here to see if any one have issue with this fcking annoying launstra.
I keep launstra at the last, but then i become mad from the ugly launstra and tank every think till get the kamikaze win 😑

Hmm I might try out the bow and farm some of the items you have here, also need to get fireproof mantle and maybe use legiana bow hmm with this I might give it a try at solo
